Babaji – Beyond Definitions – Part 3

Spirituality is the SPINE of Life...

Those who have ‘eyes’ will ‘see’. Others will not, because they have chosen ‘blindness.’ In the real world, there is nothing to prove, if one exists beyond ego. There is no one higher or lower. There is no one better or lesser. All are equal. Just like in earthly life, spiritual life depends on the baggage that we carry. Some carry heavy karmas, while some have lesser belongings. Those who have lesser baggage, travel faster. Baggage becomes more heavy when emotions rule life. It is lighter when spirit rules life. It is as simple as that. Simplicity is Godliness. Complications are terrestrial. The more complicated we are, the more terrestrial we are. And, all complications are our own unconscious creations. God has nothing to do with it.

Spirituality is the path of infinity and dissolution. The more we travel, the more we realize that there is much more to go. Then again, our expectations end at some point and gratitude replaces all the emotions. Just gratitude. Simple Gratitude. Nothing else remains. Then our expression becomes pure Unconditional Love. Our journey becomes smooth and effortless. We do not feel the distance anymore. In fact, the distance evaporates and disappears. The destination itself disappears. The journey culminates in perfect unity. So, as we travel further and further, all our mental images and preconceived notions start to dissolve and we start accepting things as they happen. This is perfect equanimity, unconditional surrender to the Lord Almighty. This is the path of our soul. This is the path of Shiva.

Character is Inherited from Past Lives....

Over life times, we have created a certain character, that we are expressing in this life. This can be called our basic constitution as well. When non-resistance happens in our inner space, when all internal frictions disappear, our basic constitution will start to melt. This is the beginning of nullification. This is the beginning of merger with the supreme, or dissolution. We go through various levels or states of samadhi, and finally, we dissolve completely into a stage where we know that we do not exist as separate from anything. Everything is us. We are everything. There are no independent identities or identifications. Deep bliss. Nothing else but bliss. The bliss of being Shiva. Shivoham.

The destiny that brought a tough, muscular, cowboy-like personality such as Richard into the path of Babaji, is his past life karma. The severe sadhana that he accomplished in his past life brought him to the great Master, after an initial period of delusion, even though he fell ignorant of his roots in this life. Babaji never lost grip of any soul that is connected to Him. He never lost track. He kept everyone together. It is the same kind of destiny that brought him and Babaji boy into my life too. The golden thread that connected all of us – is Babaji. I am sure, I will come across many more of my relatives, from the family of Babaji, during my further journey. Some will recognize our relationship, some will not, yet the journey will continue, until the river merges with the ocean.

The Guru of Babaji

An Artist's idea of Siddha Bhoganathar, the Guru of Babaji.

Lord Muruga of Palani Hills

Siddha Bhoganathar is considered to be the Guru of Babaji. His Samadhi is in Palani, Tamil Nadu. He is immortal, just like His famous disciple. Bhoganathar and His disciples are still supposed to be meditating inside the caves of the hills of Palani. It is also considered that Bhoganathar created the idol of Lord Muruga, the presiding deity of Palani Hill. The idol is made out of nine types of herbs or 9 poisons (Nava Paashaan), which individually have the capacity to kill, but if combined in a particular proportion, becomes the medicine for any type of disease. This is called Siddha Oushadh (Siddha Medicine). It is also said that Siddha Bhoganathar created the idol of Muruga in the form of the youthful Babaji, His favorite disciple.

I felt a deep urge to visit the shrine of Bhoganathar. When I reached Palani and climbed up the hill, it was already evening. Lots of people running all over the temple premises and shouting for no apparent reason, did not really suit my silence-oriented mind. I decided to pay my respects to the Great Master Bhoganathar at His samadhi and get out of the place. When I reached there, that place was also crowded. The queue was long. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry to go to Bhoganathar’s shrine. I went inside the temple, but could not sit and meditate there because of the crowd. So, I came out and found a relatively quieter place, on the side of Bhogar Samadhi. I sat there and meditated. It was almost 8pm.

Great Siddhas. What we know about them is nothing, compared to what we do not.

I paid my respects to the great Siddha. I also thanked Him for gracing the earth and blessing all of us. Suddenly, a hot stone fell on my thigh from nowhere. It hurt a bit. It was hot, as if taken out from an oven! I looked around to see if someone had thrown it at me. There was no one. From my thigh, it fell on the floor. I waited for some time for it to cool down, and then picked it up. The stone resembled a head of an elephant – Lord Ganesha!!! I was stunned and overwhelmed by the Grace of the Maha Siddha. I considered this as a tangible blessings from the Guru of Babaji. I was happy and satisfied. I put the stone in my pocket, brought it back to my parent’s home and kept it in their shrine. I started my journey down the hill to my hotel room. Before that, I had the darsan of Lord Muruga, the presiding deity of the temple and had a sip of the milk with which they bathe the idol. That milk is supposed to have the qualities of the siddha medicine. Siddha Bhoganathar is also considered to be Lao Tzu of China. One of the disciples of Bhoganathar is said to be Chinese. His name is Pulippani. Bhoganathar also created the Kaya Kalpa treatment which brings back youth and vitality in the old. There are many stories attached to Bhoganathar, the immortal Yogi. Let us prostrate at His Lotus feet….

Interesting Interventions

In 2009, I was preparing to return to Muscat, after attending a marriage in India. I decided to drop in and see Richard at his place. His place was on my way to the airport. I was not sure if he was there, as we had not communicated since long.  The train arrived just before sun rise and I landed up in town, early in the morning, checked into a hotel room, made myself fresh, had breakfast and then I called Richard. Usually, it is not very easy to get him on phone. When I called, he picked it up immediately and said: “I was expecting you. Was not sure if you will be coming here today or tomorrow.” I asked “When can I meet you?” He said “Right Now.” That’s it. I found his house in no time and once again, it was like old times. It was a great feeling to be with this son of Babaji. Both of us were overjoyed at meeting each other again. As soon as I sat down in his living room, within five minutes, the door bell rang and in came a friend of Richard called Alfred.

True Masters Represent the Eternal Truth...What we see or hear is nothing compared to what they actually are!!!

Alfred’s Story

I have never physically met Alfred before. We do not know each other at all. We never heard of each other too. He does not know that I exist at all. Still, three days before we met, he had a dream in which he distinctly saw me standing in a white robe, surrounded by many people. It was some kind of an initiation ceremony. Alfred was also sitting there. In the dream, I turned to him and said, ” I am coming to meet you. Do not worry.I will give you what you need.” Then the dream ended. Even though he explained this dream to Richard, they could not figure out the message in the dream. Since Alfred had not seen me before, the dream remained a mystery until he met me. The very next night, (the night previous to his meeting me) he saw another dream in which Sathya Sai Baba came and told him – as clearly as it would go, “I am sending Mohan to you. He will give you what you need.” This was again a mystery. He had no met anyone with the name Mohan as yet. And he also did not connect this dream with the one from the previous night. When he saw me in Richard’s house, it all suddenly clicked. He stood there in a shock, looking at me for a few seconds and then, without any formalities, said: ” GIVE ME.” I said: “Sit down. Let me prepare you to receive it.” He sat down, and Richard sat on the other side. And we started talking. As soon as I saw Alfred, I received an inner command to initiate him into Shaktipat. It became clear to me why I came to this town and why he appeared in front of me. The purpose was truly divine and this was completely and perfectly orchestrated by the Masters.

Alfred is a very sensitive man. He keeps away from everyone. He is very sensitive to energy and can see spirits and Masters effortlessly. He is also well connected to Babaji and he was brought to India by Babaji. Babaji and Sai Baba commune with him almost everyday. His belongs to the central part of America. He was supposed to go to Thailand the day he met me, as his Indian Visa was expiring and, due to some mis-understanding with his travel agent, his ticket got cancelled and was re-secheduled to fly the next day. The real purpose for this confusion was indeed our meeting.

Sai and His Vibhoothi Leela

Alfred’s story is also stranger than fiction. He was communing with Babaji and soon developed interest in Sathya Sai Baba. He felt a strong urge to meet Baba. He worked hard and amassed sufficient money to come to India and meet Baba. He worked for about two years to make himself free for this travel. Thus, he arrived at Sai Baba’s ashram. He was sitting in the crowd, eagerly awaiting Baba’s arrival. When he saw Baba, he was overwhelmed. It was indeed a Great Dream Coming True. Suddenly, in front of him, Baba materialised Sacred ash (Vibhoothi) from his hand and Alfred clearly saw Baba taking Vibhoothi out of a capsule hidden in a sleeve. He was heart broken. “Baba, a magician?! Did I come all the way to India spending all the money to see a magician?!” – his mind started racing. He was completely shattered. He rushed back to his hotel room, sat on a chair and cried his heart out. He felt betrayed and completely devastated. He was not sure how much time he cried. Meanwhile, he took a firm decision to pack and leave Puttaparthy the next day. Suddenly, he experienced the smell of Baba’s Vibhoothi and he lifted his head up to look. He was shocked to see Baba physically standing in the room, right in front of him!!! Baba gave him a hard slap on his cheek and said: “You Idiot, you think I am a magician? Do you think I brought you here to show you some magic? I constantly shake trees of faith to drop the dead wood and tamas. I wanted to disillusion some people who came to test me. They were sitting in front of you. They had no faith. They are not eligible to receive my grace or energy. That is why I created that scene. They will never come back. But you….. I brought you here. You stay” Baba patted his shoulder and disappeared. It took some time for him to recover from this great, unbelievable experience. But, he stayed. That night onwards, he meets Baba either astrally or physically, almost everyday. He started communing with Baba, constantly otherwise too.

Alfred steadily developed many powers. He could even read the minds of animals. He became so sensitive that he avoided all kinds of unnecessary interactions with people or any kind of get-togethers. He became more and more of an introvert. Richard was his closest ally. On this day, he had come to see Richard at his place and that is where we met. So, in his dream, Baba had told him that he is sending me to him. But, he was not aware that he will meet me at Richard’s place.

The Reason.... The End

We were sitting across from each other, when Alfred, at one point, asked: “Are you practicing Kriya Yoga?”

The Galaxy of Masters...One Tradition.

I said “No, I am practicing nothing in particular.” When asked why he asked this question, he said: “I could see almost all the Kriya Yoga Masters with you, working through you.” Richard intervened and said: “I saw it too. This links all of us. The same Masters, the same tradition. We are one family.” It was interesting how two Americans and I were discussing the intangible and subtle during this most unexpected meeting, at a strange location. Richard never allows anyone to enter his house unless he is convinced about the visitor’s energy. Alfred is very sensitive with energies as well.

A few minutes later, Alfred exclaimed: “Mohanji, something is happening in my body. I can feel my chakras expanding and contracting. I can feel the energy shifts. Bubbles are bursting within!” I said: “Please sit quiet and take it easy. I am working on you.” After one hour, I initiated him into Shaktipat. And while I was doing that, Richard, who was watching, went into a trance state. After the initiation, all of us meditated for some time. Then, they shared their experiences. Richard said: “Mohanji, I saw all the Kriya Yoga Masters, Babaji, Jesus, Sai Baba, Lord Dattatreya and many other Masters coming and going through you when you were initiating Alfred. The power and energy was so high that I was immediately shifted into another plane.” Alfred saw the same. He said: “Mohanji, I feel that it will not be easy to reach you sooner or later. I feel that Masters are preparing you for something much higher. More and more people will come to know about you.” Then, both of them told me a few things about my path and the future (actually, they only reiterated what Babaji had already told me in our earlier communions. This was like a re-confirmation for me, as both of them speak to Babaji as well as Sai Baba, regularly). Then I told Richard: “After my long communion with Babaji in Dubai, He has never come to me. Why is that?” Richard said: “Mohanji, do you know why Babaji is not so visible these days? He is observing silence. He does that, whenever he works on other planets or galaxies. He can operate at many places at the same time. He is truly omnipresent. But yes, He will come to you many times more. Babaji always keeps His promise. He has told you that He will reach you at the appropriate time. He will. Be patient. Just give it another year. That is the time for your maturing to the materials that He has delivered to you already. You need time to digest everything and live it, don’t you?” Even though he mentioned the last sentence as a joke, I understood the deeper meaning. True Masters never cram their disciples into indigestion. They allow time for the disciples to grasp, digest and grow.  We discussed many more things about Babaji, Baba and the tradition, and we parted after about four hours.

Babaji and a galaxy of Masters work relentlessly in order to bring up beings of lower consciousness. But, just like our soul never imposes its presence on us, they never impose anything on anyone. Once we prepare ourselves and become eligible, they appear and deliver unconditionally. Ego is the biggest barrier that we must cross. I never met or communicated with Alfred ever again, till date. And I have not communicated much with Richard too, after this meeting a few months ago. We meet astrally though.

The Shiva Experience

Inner Brightness - Flows Out

This is a slight deviation from my experience with Babaji. But, since I promised you that I will narrate my Shiva experience, with your permission, let me take the detour.

It was a day after my Birthday in 2007 – February 23rd. I was with my parents and decided to celebrate my birthday at a nearby ashram. I usually celebrate my birthday by feeding the poor children. However, that day, since morning, I was feeling dizzy. My head was spinning. I was feeling very uncomfortable and also was having a bit of nausea. I reached the ashram by evening. When I reached there, I was almost helpless as even my eye sight was blurred. I could not see people clearly. But, I behaved as natural as I could, to avoid unnecessary questions and explanations.  That morning, I had a deep urge to buy the book “Shiva Sutras”, without any particular reason. By 8pm, I spoke to the Swami of that ashram and told him that I am very much uncomfortable, without any apparent reason. He said: “Fine. Let’s take a walk and get some fresh air.”

The Mount Kailash Effect

He took me out and we walked to another house in the ashram complex, which is about 500 yards away. All I could remember was reaching that place, entering the hall and sitting down on a chair near a table.

Sacred Ash started coming out through the top of my head and then slowly falling down my body (Sacred Ash sprouting out of Sahasraara is a sign of burnt karmas. When the last remnants of karmas are getting exhausted, like a volcano, with high intensity, they are burnt and expelled through the Sahasraara. This is typical of Dattatreya Tradition). My body was transparent and huge bright light was glowing from within. My eye lids became golden. The light penetrated my clothes and was radiating to the outside world. I was expanded beyond description. Everything was within me. Mohan did not exist.

Dissolving into the Golden Consciousness

Viboothi kept flowing… There was no time or space. There were no gunas (attributes) such as Sattwa, Rajas or Tamas, there were no identities. Everything got erased in a split second. The need to return or come back was also not there… I do not know how much time I existed in that state. All I heard after some time was the voice of Swami shouting to other ashramites: ” Shiva is here!Come fast….Bring the camera.” I slowly started regaining my body awareness, but that took some time. I became aware that many people are around me. I became aware of the flash bulbs. Then, at one point, I opened my eyes.

Third Eye, Serpent and Sacred Ash, All so distinct...

I saw a lot of people in front of me. The first photo caught a slight glimpse of the brightness that was coming out from inside my body (Swami said that the brightness was so strong that initially he couldn’t allow anyone to enter as they (their nerve endings especially) would not be able to withstand this level of energy). The later photos just caught my physical frame with the Vibhooti, and the state after the experience. As it is said, “images can speak much more than words.” So, do enjoy the photos.

That experience tilted my consciousness. My awareness level changed. As of then, I started shifting to different awareness levels effortlessly.

When a seeker becomes the sought, his limited entity dissolves into that of unlimited nature. He becomes all pervading, completely lucid and transparent, vibrant, shining, subtly dynamic and exists in complete awareness. The momentary sourcing of data from the higher realms becomes effortless and continuous.

This is what I wrote soon after the Shiva experience:

The Unfathomable Infinity - SHIVA

When we touch the realms of Shiva, the Supreme, everything dissolves. Everything merges into one. It’s only a vast, expanded brightness, absolutely peaceful and all-knowing. All the planets, various suns, stars and various spheres of existence, become simply parts of the vast existence of Shiva, the Supreme. It is all contained within the infinite brightness which has supreme awareness. That was my experience on Feb 24th, 2007. That state can be called the state of the Father, or Allah, or Parabramha, it’s all the same. All one needs is to understand that effect.

When the limited entity called Mohan became Shiva, at first, there was only the bliss, indescribable bliss that encompassed me. The bliss of infiniteness. The bliss of liberation. The bliss of bodylessness. Existing in that expanded state, I became one with all the beings of the Universe. Limited awareness of Mohan merged with the entire cosmos and became one with both, the limited and unlimited existence. In that expanded state, one can only expresses Love, our very nature. I became every being, and every being became me.

Human intellect cannot comprehend the state of Shiva. Humans can experience that state only when they cease to become humans. They need to get out of their body, mind, intellect, ego and every other aspect and become empty and pure. Shiva’s state is that of extreme purity. Human intellect has limitation and its data bank, the sub conscious, is usually filled with stored memories and their attached emotions, and this is what it can refer from. State of Shiva can never be stored and extracted this way. It can only be experienced and that too, when we can effectively transcend our “humanness.”

Whenever intellect tries to comprehend, humans miss the Shiva aspect. Humans cannot achieve the state of Shiva by “doing.” Be it of physical or intellectual nature, “doing” amounts to action and movement. Action is expression of duality. Duality is dilution of the true state of Shiva which is all-encompassing and exists as non-duality. State of Shiva is truly that of Oneness. They can achieve the Shiva state only through “beingness”, being in the state of Shiva.

In that state of complete bliss and love, the transformed entity will choose to lead many more souls to His stature – that of the Supreme. This is a pure act formed out of love and compassion. By doing this, he is guiding himself; because everything is part of himself. It is as if some part of the body gets dirty, we wash and clean it. Just the same, when some souls search in darkness, liberated souls, with full understanding and awareness that those souls in darkness are essentially a part of themselves, lead them to light. By doing this, they are becoming more complete….

Birth of the Bless the World Meditations

Venue, People, Grace - All Provided by Baba

Three months after the Shiva experience, at about 4Am, I was woken up and immediately sensed very high energy, within me and around me. The Power of Purity meditation was given to me by Baba (I consider all Masters as BABA, because, there is no importance to name or identities in the other realms. All work in unison, under the guidance of the Supreme. This is my experience). So, when I was woken up and asked to write the meditation, I was not aware of what I am supposed to do with it. I had no idea what I was going to write. I was not even aware of the content.

All Masters are One. The God is the true Owner...

As it was being delivered, it took only about 10 minutes for me to type the meditation using my laptop. It was like Baba was making my fingers move. Everything was crystal clear. When I realized that it was a full-fledged meditation, I asked Baba: ” What am I supposed to do with it? Am I supposed to meditate?” He said: “No. You must teach.” Immediately the introvert in me objected: “No Baba, I am not cut out for such a thing. You know that I am an introvert. I cannot go around and tell people – Hey, come here, I will teach you a meditation. Moreover, I am not a Guru material. I am an ordinary man, with all the strengths and weaknesses of normal human beings.” Immediately the answer came: “That’s not your problem. We will send people to you. Understand that those who come to you are sent by us. Others will not reach you. Nor will they understand you. Your strength is your subtlety. You are empowered. You will represent our tradition.” Again, my logical mind objected: “I need people to assist me in this, especially if the mission that you are entrusting me is so big.” The answer was: ” That is not your problem either. We will make things happen at the appropriate time. Just be.” I realized that my holidays are over and I am about to embark on a much larger mission. :-) The journey has begun!!!

I recorded the meditation in a studio quite effortlessly because, at that time, I was doing the radio show called Mohan’s World, which was reasonably popular amongst the spiritual circles. Just as Baba said, our meditation took off in Dubai. It started spreading wider and wider to the stage that we have reached now. What have I done to achieve this? Nothing. This is Divine play. All my question-answers and blogs are also similar. I never read or prepare. Appropriate answers happen at the appropriate time. Our path is so pure and simple. No expectations, no conditions. Only two pillars. Purity and Faith. We operate on the ground of unconditional love, beyond all man-made barriers such as caste, creed, countries, communities, cultures and colors.

Even though I received the meditation in May 2007, I did not conduct any classes nor did I attempt to record it till  September.

'How Can I?' We Always Forget the Fire behind the smoke - The invisible hands that Make It Happen

Biba saw the entire text, right after I received it telepathically, and told me: “It is amazing. You should spread it.” A crystal clear answer appeared in my awareness: “I will do it free of cost, as a service to society. This would be the next dimension of what I am doing through Ammucare Charity Foundation. Through Ammucare, we are physically helping the poor and helpless of the society. Through Bless The World Meditations, we shall work on unburdening the helpless karmic entities called Human Beings. Unburdening/cleansing of the conditionings that one carries forward through lifetimes, definitely will take time. If change from the birth&death cycle is a necessity, then commitment and patience is a must. Faith is a must because the cleansing that happened may not be tangible. Yet, it will be effective for sure.”

In October 2007, Biba took the initiative and organised the first ever meditation class in Dubai that I myself conducted. Then, every week, the classes happened. People experienced heavy cleansing. Some experienced communions with the Masters. Some got answers to their questions without even asking them. Some had certain miraculous experiences. Thus, all have their own experience and are getting results. As always, some are consistent and committed. Some just come to see. Some to test. Some to taste. Some appreciate. Some criticize. Some ridicule. Some praise. This is nothing unusual. This is the way the world operates. We conduct the classes free of cost and voluntary donations are used for expense of the premises and charity activities. So many people, love incarnates, came together and made this happen. They are carrying it forward. Slowly, BTW meditations spread to other countries, as people shared their impressions and experiences with others. We did no campaigning or marketing. Baba’s words always ring in my ears: “Understand that those who come to you, are sent by us.”

Divine Communions

When Need Happens, Form Happens. Form has no Value, Need has…that created the form.

A True Experience: In one of our classes at Dubai, while I was answering questions, suddenly everyone saw the room getting filled with beautiful , purple energy - all fell quiet instantly. We sat there for more than an hour, in absolute silence. No phones rang and none bothered us from outside either. When we came back to our senses, everyone said, almost like a chorus “Oh God. I saw Babaji!!!It was Babaji!!!” This was real. There is a BIG difference between my talking and their experiencing. Experience cannot be denied. It is life changing. We have had many such experiences, with different Masters, in most of our classes.

Visions - Or Mind's Projections

Visions and communions are of two kinds. One is mind’s projection. We feel, “I saw Rama.” “I saw Krishna, or Jesus or Buddha.” “They told me this, they told me that,” etc. These are just mind’s cravings for recognition as the deep wish for divine communion gets projected back to you as a seeming reality. This will not have any lasting effect on you. You will not have any real changes in your constitution. The test is real life itself. If there is a fundamental constitutional change, visible in real life, that means that the communions were real. Otherwise, just like a dream, it is something that comes and goes. You will remain the same. You will shake and shatter only when you have to face the real life. Real communions are life-changing. They always leave you in a different dimension, at least one step higher than before. There will be a heavy shift within. Your awareness level would have changed.

Such communions are not easy to experience. They need eligibility. Eligibility happens with Purity, Patience and Egoless-ness. A shift does not take any time. A sinner can become a saint over-night. Eligibility takes time, because it is related to unburdening of karmas. People will never stay stable in one constitution for ever. Everyone evolves. Some are fast, while some are slow in evolving, which purely depends on their karmic baggage. If karmic baggage is less, spiritual evolution will be quite fast.

Those who have had divine communions, or those who have developed capacity to communicate constantly with higher entities, will display that divinity in real life too. Just like you unconsciously acquire the qualities of your friends, you acquire the qualities of your Gurus too. One Swami living in Himalayas once told me: “You can see a distinct trait in all the people who have communed with Babaji. That trait is a compelling need for introversion, to go within, to avoid articulation, embracing silence.” I saw this clearly in Babaji Boy, Richard and Alfred. I also saw this intensifying in me. I have to force myself to go and talk to people or take classes. It is only the Dharma (duty) that propels me to do so for some time more….

The Shaktipat Initiation

Shaktipat is a Boon, a Gift. It has the Power to Transform Lives.

Shaktipat is one of the key factors of our meditation. Shaktipat is part of our grand tradition. But, unless one is properly initiated, Shaktipat will not have any effect. The giver cannot give anything and the receiver will not be benefited. Our guided meditations, per se, are only preparations. In the classes, it is Shaktipat that makes the difference. It works on people’s ‘baggage’ and cleanses it systematically, week by week, and the results are clear in people. The same meditation gives different effect at each time. There is no physical variety. But, there is variety in the effect of the meditation, each time.

Faith and consistency. That is our path. Unburdening is a gradual process because we are unburdening from the samskaaras of many life times. Shaktipat is life changing. Shaktipat is precious and it is serious. Those whom I initiated to give Shaktipat were brought to me by Baba. Initiating people is not my discretion. I will be instructed at the right time, whom to initiate, just like in Alfred’s case. I do not choose whom to initiate. I follow orders. Those who are initiated have experienced tremendous shifts in their constitution and awareness levels. They are able to deliver it to others too. When they perform Shaktipat, their consciousness merges with mine. Shaktipat is sacred. The power will be lost completely, if one’s operating levels change to being ego based.

The Sacred Moments of Shaktipat

Shaktipat is a boon. It has to happen. It is a serious responsibility. Purity and Faith should be maintained at all times for effective deliverance of Shaktipat. Also, the presence of various Masters in our sessions is another tangible proof. People see them or feel them and they experience shifts in their constitution, their operating levels. This is not imagination. This is real. Still, conscious mind that cannot comprehend matters beyond the senses, will tend to deny it and trash it as imagination. It is anti- spiritual to deny our experiences, to prefer the words of others to your own experience. Your own experience is the most important thing for you. That’s your personal lesson. You have to start walking from where you stand. Your own experience is where you stand. Others’ words have no value, especially if the other is operating from the regular intellectual or emotional plane.

Predictions and Guidance

As always, during every trip to Himalayas, I meet an old saint (name has to be withheld – apologies) who has a great value in my life. He has not taught me anything. But, his words have always been of value. He is not a diviner. He is neither an astrologer nor a preacher. He never predicts future. Yet,the first time I met him, he said: “Do something for the children of mother earth. You will have eternal peace.”

The Irresistible Charm of Lord Krishna

Those words worked in my mind and it later became Ammucare, even though I had no plans to start any charity organisation at that time. It was like a command or prophecy. The second time I met him, he said: “I have a deep regret. I could not meet your daughter Ammu. She was an “amsha” (a part, or consciousness) of Lord Krishna!!!” This was a revelation for me. Ammu passed away on Krishna’s Birthday (Janmashtami). Also, on the night before she passed away, she told my mother: “I am playing with Krishna. Grandma, can you see Krishna?” My mom said: “We are humans. We cannot see God so easily.” And Ammu said: “You cannot see because your bhakti is not strong enough. If you pray sincerely, you can see Him.” These memories came to my mind when this saint told me about his unfulfilled wish. That gave me a better understanding about Ammu. I felt deeply honored that she came and took birth in our family as my child.

The Eyes of Ammu - Reflecting Eternity

The third important thing that this saint told me was just a year ago. He said: “In the days to come, you will explicitly express Shiva. Fire will come through your eyes. You will elevate many people just through your eyes. You will change many lives through Shaktipat. You cannot hide for long.” I joked: “Swamiji, let me hide as long as I can. This introversion is what suits me.” He laughed and said: “Wait and watch what is going to happen.” All what he said has happened. He is one of my biggest well wishers, and lives in relative isolation in the Himalayas. As he said, Bless The World Meditations are getting translated into several languages – people feel the prompting to join in, to serve, to spread Love.

Meanwhile, another meditation called 360 degrees was given to me. More are on the way. Each has the ability to change lives. The basic reason is grace. Grace cannot be created. It has to happen.

Grace is like the most sincere offering - it touches the heart deeply. Its beauty cannot be ignored...

All those whom I have initiated into Shaktipat, are delivering it with the same intensity that I would have, if I were physically present. Just like the monkey’s child clings on to its mother and automatically reaches the highest branch, in our path, the disciple reaches the highest in spirituality, just by holding on to the Guru Tattwa – the principle called Guru.

I still maintain my privacy and freedom. I still work for my living. I make sure that my existence is unpretentious. Nobody canvasses anybody for the BTW sessions. It is completely free. All voluntary contributions are used for charity after paying the expenses of the premises. Everything is recorded and audited. All those who attend are encouraged to write their experiences in their own spiritual diary, because, in the world of hard selling, beautiful talkers will brain wash them to nullify their own experience, make them believe that it was just imagination. I never take head counts. I just say: “It is available free. Using it is your discretion.” This lifestyle helps me to maintain my objectivity and selflessness. It helps me to stay liberated, without expectations. An unconditional existence is truly liberating!!!

Thus, my beloveds, the path ahead is the path of Gold for our generation. Energy changes in the universe are being experienced by us, right now, right here. Shift is taking place. Shift in consciousness is obvious. There is nothing to do. Just be in the present. Just be with every thought, word and action. Be fully conscious. Just express unconditional love always. Live in absolute faith and surrender. Live in Bliss.

Love YOU Always, M

Babaji – Beyond Definitions – Part 2

Beyond Space and Time, Beyond Definitions, exists the Guru... Humble Prostrations...

I surrender all my thoughts and words associated with this blog at Babaji’s feet. Mohan writing about an Avatar like Babaji is the same like a drop of water conveying something about the ocean. All I am trying to do is to humbly attempt to describe my experiences with Babaji – if at all this creates any effect in you, the credit goes to Babaji. This is a continuation from the previous blog with the same title.

My next experience with Babaji requires a brief intro.

More or less throughout 2005, I was unemployed, experiencing deep financial crisis. However, this was the time when my spiritual life was really blossoming. After a tough tenure in Iraq in 2004, despite insurgency and death threats, I had returned back to the relative quiet of home in India, without a job and without anything specific to do, apart from the charity activities. I had decided that whatever crisis happen, I will never use even a single dime from the charity funds for my personal purpose. I stuck to that decision, against all odds.

At that time, I was associated with one spiritual Guru and his ashram (I refrain from using his name to avoid inconveniences). He was more like a spiritual brother to me. He was also involved in many charity activities and that was my main interest. Apart from that there was no knowledge or power transfer of any kind between us. I was also involved in simple administration matters of the ashram in an ephemeral way, free of cost, and was occasionally travelling with this Guru, when he was moving around. I met many people who came to visit him and had made many acquaintances during those times. Most of those connections vanished as fast as they appeared.

Relative anonymity allowed deep contemplation on Self.

On one such occasion, I met an American man called Richard and his friend Cathy (names changed to maintain anonymity) from UK. They had come to meet this Guru. Richard was a big, sporty, muscular man, while Cathy was shy and quiet. I met them several times during their stay there and interacted with them briefly, whenever we met. Cathy stayed there only for a week while Richard stayed on for two weeks.

On the day Cathy was leaving, after taking the blessings from the Guru, she and Richard came to the room where I was sitting. Cathy came to me and said: “I do not know why, but I feel that this trip would be incomplete, if I did not take your blessings too before I go.” Richard was also with her. She was standing. I stood up and put my palm on her head (even though nowadays, during Shaktipat and our meditation sessions, many of you had experiences of this kind, please note that this incident with Cathy happened way back, when I was far from conducting any classes and was a complete anonymous, a non-entity per se). A very strong energy started flowing from my hand – she started shivering and fell into a trance. I helped her to sit down and she thus remained in deep trance for some time. Richard was watching this. There was nobody else in the room.

In the sublime state of beingness, Realities Alter...

With Cathy next to us in deep trance, Richard asked me “May I hold your hand?” I said “Sure.” We both sat down and he took my hand and kissed it. Vividly moved, he suddenly exclaimed: “It was JESUS!!! It was JESUS, I bet!!! He was blessing Cathy. Such a powerful energy!!! So much love!!!” He thanked me repeatedly and held my hand for about 30 minutes until Cathy came out of her trance. She had tears in her eyes. She hugged me and said: “I would have missed this, if I did not ask you. I always trust my inner guidance. Whenever I saw you here, I always felt that you are a silent mystery. You are not what you seem to be. Your inner depth is visible in your eyes. Now I realize who you are. I am grateful.” I laughed and said: “Cathy, I am an empty pot. I depend on what fills into me. Mohan does not exist at all. It is as simple as that.” Richard got up and hugged me. Both Cathy and Richard had tears in their eyes. I never met Cathy again, till date. However, from then onwards, I became very close with Richard, who returned to the ashram after dropping Cathy to the airport. Our friendship continued, with many unexpected blessings of the Masters.

The Fire of Deep Spirituality Sustains us...

The Babaji Connection – Richard’s Story

Richard was born in USA. He had a troublesome childhood and turbulent youth. He grew up as a rebel, fighting against one thing or the other. All his relationships were chaotic. He had series of fights, problems and police cases. Thus, while leading an aimless and reckless life, one day, he walked into a book store to pick up a greeting card for his girlfriend. As soon as he entered, he saw a shelf full of new arrivals. One particular book with a picture of a bare-chested boyish man sitting cross legged, instantly caught his attention. And next to the book stood the man who was depicted on the cover – in the same costume, half-naked. He was surprised. He had never seen such a costume, ever in life. And he thought it could be some kind of a book-signing ceremony and this person could be marketing his own book.

Richard was not interested in any books. So, he went to the area of the shop where Greeting Cards were displayed. He picked up the card of his choice and, while walking back to the payment counter, he saw the man again, still standing next to the book. Surprisingly, he found that nobody else was noticing him or bothering him, even out of curiosity. This was quite strange in such a crowded shop. When Richard looked at him, he smiled and beckoned him to come near. Unconsciously, Richard just moved towards him. He called Richard by name. He was shocked!!! “How does this half-naked man know me?!” – Richard thought.  He looked up to read the title of the book. It said “BABAJI”. That meant absolutely nothing to Richard. The half-naked man started talking:” How are you, Richard?” In that moment, Richard realized that he could not speak. His tongue was not moving. The man smiled and continued to talk. He simply narrated all the important events of Richard’s life as if the book of his life was opened before him. Richard was literally spell bound. Then he said: “We will meet again. I will tell you many more things, which you need to know and the world needs to know”. Soon after he uttered that, Richard could not find him anywhere. He had disappeared!

Richard became dizzy with amazement. He could not understand what just happened to him. Fearing that listeners will ridicule him, he did not tell about this event to a single soul. He kept it a closely guarded secret. (We must remember that Richard had never been religious, spiritual or spiritually inclined. He never had friends of that nature too).

Days went by. Richard started getting many messages from this man, telepathically. And many a times, he would suddenly see the man standing next to him, even if he was inside his house, doors locked. All Richard knew was that this man is called BABAJI and that he is very special. Some messages were prophetic – they were about the events that, sooner or later, actually did happen/would happen in his life or around him. Thus, day by day, Richard’s connection with this mystery man increased. His life also changed rapidly. He became sober, cool, collected – he even started meditating! He obeyed the new advisor, word by word. And whenever he disobeyed… - he always ended up in serious trouble.

Divinity Cares... But Who appreciates!!!!

One such incident was: Richard had bought a new car and had promised his girlfriend that he would take her to the beach that day, in his new car. Babaji told him “Do not drive today, stay at home.” He decided to ignore Babaji’s suggestion and went ahead with his appointment. As soon as he hit the road, he met with an accident. Even though he was unhurt, his beautiful new car was badly damaged.

On another occasion, Babaji told him not to meet his girlfriend on a particular morning. He ignored that and met her. They ended up in a major argument over a silly matter and, out of fury, his girlfriend smashed the windows of his new car. Once again, he was reminded of the importance of obeying Babaji’s commands.

And one day Babaji told Richard to go to a particular desert area and meditate there the whole night. There was no resistance from Richard this time because, by then, he had learnt his lessons well. While meditating, he was suddenly abducted into an alien space ship and had a strange communion with highly evolved aliens. This happened two times more. And every time it happened, Richard found that something was shifting within him, for the better. His subtlety level increased manifold.

Soon enough, he started giving lectures and taking classes about life, spirituality and healthy living. His audience increased day by day. This surprised him, as he had no previous background or education to handle the subject matter, and yet, everything seemed so effortless. Naturally, ego started bloating. He started feeling better off than others who are existing in the normal emotional plane of existence, suffering from the regular guilts, anxieties and fears. Every time he took a class or gave a lecture, he saw that Babaji was always present and watching, without interfering. It was as if Babaji was like a supervisor, making sure that his disciple is doing everything well. Richard knew very well that Babaji was transferring knowledge through him, into the world. He felt proud because he was the chosen one, out of millions. Steadily but surely, Richard’s ego grew more and more, along with his popularity.

Inspiration leads to Confidence. When Confidence leads to Ego, Man Falls...

One day, everything was set for a live TV show, with live audience. When the show began and Richard was shining on the stage, he suddenly realized that his mentor was missing. All those days, only Richard could see him, nobody else could. But now all of a sudden, he was not to be found anywhere! So there he was, standing on the stage with an empty mind. He felt as if his soul had left his body – he was an empty shell that had nothing to give. He did not know what to say and what to do. The TV show had to be called off and this brought money loss and disgrace to Richard. His new preaching career was shattered beyond repair! And his ego was completely deflated. When everybody left, Babaji appeared, as if nothing ever happened. Richard understood the harsh lesson, fell at the feet of Babaji and cried. Babaji said:” Ego is the barrier between man and God. Ownerships mean alienation from the eternal Truth. The fatter you become with ego, the more difficult will it be for you to enter my world. Ego should not be allowed to grow in weight and size. Service should always be selfless, without ownerships. Purpose should be pure, without expectations. Grace disappears when ego appears.” Richard learnt this truth the hard way. After that incident, Babaji asked him to pack his bag and move to India. He did so and that’s where we met.

My First Communion

Richard became very close to me, after the incident with Cathy. Till such time, he was minding his own business, ignoring everyone around him, including me. On the day of my first communion with Babaji, Richard and I were having dinner at the ashram. The Guru of the ashram was travelling. Both myself and Richard were staying in adjacent rooms at the same hostel, near the ashram. Cathy had left a few days earlier. Over the days, Richard and I shared our stories and experiences with each other – a deep mutual respect developed between us. He said that he could see multiple Masters working through me and that touched him deeply. I kept reiterating: “All masters are one and I am an empty pot. I contain everyone.”

Through the Wings of Time, We meet again and again...

That evening, while having dinner, I suddenly received a telepathic command ”Come to the Pooja room” (room for prayer and worship). I immediately got up, did not tell anything to Richard, washed my hands and mouth, and went into the Pooja room. I sat down and started meditating. I thought that it was Shirdi Sai Baba who called me, as I was, by then, familiar with His style (at that point in time, I already had several communions with Shirdi Sai Baba, receiving his guidance telepathically). His style was always abrupt and matter-of-facted. As soon as I prepared to meditate, the voice told me again: “Do not meditate. I am working on you.” Immediately, strange bubbles started to rise from every cell of my body. I felt the bubbles rising, clustering, conglomerating, moving and bursting. It felt as if someone was massaging my insides. This went on for a few minutes. Meanwhile, the voice explained to me about my tradition, path and the importance of the Golden path, i.e. the path of Shiva – path of perfect beingness, total nullification, annihilation and dissolution. Suddenly, a curiosity arose in my mind as to who is doing this and transferring all this great knowledge to me. I asked: “Is that you, Baba?” Immediately, a glimpse of Babaji in lotus posture appeared in my inner vision, stayed for a second, and disappeared. I was surprised. I never communed with Babaji before and it was not easy for me to accept that this was indeed happening. His “work” on me continued, along with the knowledge transfer.

After sometime, again, the doubt formed in my mind: ”Am I tripping or is this really Babaji?” Quite stupidly, I asked the question again: ” Babaji, is this really you? I cannot believe this is happening.” Immediately, movements started to subside within me. The messages stopped and everything became silent. Complete silence. No movement. I felt that even my heart beat and respiration had stopped. I sat like that for some time, all the while being aware of my transparent state and barrier-less awareness. I do not remember how much time I sat there.

When everything subsided and stopped, after a few minutes, I got up and started walking towards my room. It was already late at night. While I walked to the gate of the ashram, which was about 300 feet away from the house with Pooja room, Richard was standing at the gate. As soon as he saw me, he smiled and asked: ”So, you doubted whether it was Babaji?” You can imagine my shock at that question. A man standing so far away had actually understood everything that was happening to me, inside the room – and that too, in silence. The whole communion was telepathic and Richard knew it all!!! That was a revelation for me. I realized how strongly connected he was, with Babaji. I started having better understanding about the stature of Richard and the meaning of his native silence. My respect towards him grew manifold. I also felt that his spending so much time with me and for me was Babaji’s design, and I felt deeply honored. Babaji indeed takes utmost care. Babaji means Kindness and Compassion.

Great Masters, through a Thousand Eyes, Watch the progress of each Soul...Unconditional Love is the Expression.

A week later, we parted and I went back to Dubai. Richard went back to his temporary abode in a small town in India and, a month later, he sent me a beautiful picture of Babaji with a note: “To whomever I have gifted this picture, Babaji has appeared. I can see that Babaji loves you a lot.” I was deeply touched with Richard’s expression of pure love. I expressed my deepest gratitude to him.

In Dubai, I entered into a new job – as the CEO of a Logistics firm. My financial situation was improving, but between 2005 and 2007, I had no further communion with Babaji. However, during that time, I had the Shiva Experience, about which I shall narrate in the third part of this trilogy. There had been great shifts within, as far as spirituality was concerned. Yet, even though it was very difficult for me to balance the spiritual evolution happening at rocket speed and the terrestrial jobs, I decided that I will work for my living. I wanted to avoid all kinds of dependency. Spirituality has always been so private and sacred for me, that I decided never to sell it for my existence. When ever someone approached me, seeking knowledge or spiritual guidance, I always gave them whatever they could take, without expectations, maintaining perfect purity.

Purity is the spine of spirituality. I hope, with the grace of the Supreme Masters, that I will be able to maintain it until I shed this body. Non violence in thought, word and action, as well as selfless service, make us established in higher spirituality, beyond all man-made barriers.

Our debts towards Mother Earth are cleared only through selfless service

Thus, at the time I mentioned above, I was immersed in my own work and various spiritual exercises, subtly and benevolently guided by the Masters. I also made it a point to meet and pay reverence to the spiritual Gurus in their body, whenever I could. Since money was still scarce, I did not attend many paid spiritual classes. When ever I met or interacted with any living Master, I did it with absolute surrender and total dedication. Only if we empty our mind can we receive. If we approach a Guru with a filled up mind, what can he contribute to us?

Meanwhile, I became deeply connected with Sai Baba and had a few great experiences such as sacred ash and nectar flowing out of my crown chakra several times, etc. As far as possible, I kept my silence and anonymity. I never discussed my spirituality with anyone – I thought it is far too sacred to express in words, as words are too limited.

Love of Masters cannot be explained in words, it needs to be experienced...

My charity activities went on without any hindrance and many people joined me in those activities from various parts of the world. However, my spiritual practices were more personal and only a few were involved. At that time, a need for introversion was taking root strongly in me and any public display of spirituality created a shrinking feeling within. So, I kept away from the crowd and was swimming in the pool of spirituality within – I was well contended with that.

During 2006/2007 many a times I felt disillusioned with the cunningness, deceit, lies, treachery and similar negativities of the urban existence. I started feeling that I am a misfit in that rat race. I wanted to get out of it all – nothing that the city offered fascinated me anymore. I felt no interest in the fleeting glitters and artificial relationships of the city life. I actually went to Himalayas three times, on different occasions, when disillusionment reached a high pitch within to spend the rest of my life there. Each time, I was sent back with the same message: “You have much to do for the world.” That did not mean anything to me at that time. But, I returned back each time and immersed myself in my work and charity service, while I kept my spirituality, literally, under cover.

One thing that I realized during that time was – there is no need to go anywhere. Spirituality takes place where ever you are. All you need is eligibility and complete ego-less surrender. Anonymity helped to check ego and stay connected.

During 2006 and 2007, I often used to reach a situation of total blank state of mind. I would not even know my name or identity. I used to forget my signature. All identities would get erased. Thankfully, this state usually used to last only for a day or two. The maximum it lasted was one week. Each time it happened, I used to come out from it with a fresh consciousness. It was like a fresh butterfly coming out of a cocoon. Each such blank state used to be a shift or elevation in consciousness and it was kind of a metamorphosis.

The most difficult part was, it was impossible for me to explain my state to any of my colleagues as this was definitely not in a job description of a General Manager responsible for any organization. By the Grace of Masters, with their protection and blessing, no mishap happened during those times of emptiness. This was another realization: Whenever a seeker is exposed to such metamorphosis, the Masters take total control. They protect. This is my experience. We need not be close to any physical Guru per se. The protection is guaranteed. Such shifts are of different nature in each person. Sometimes they are very drastic.

In my case, before these shifts started happening, I had undergone a series of radical, life changing events, which can be called “consistent removals” – I lost my only daughter in a road accident, I separated from my wife, my belongings got stolen, I lost all my savings in a property deal, I lost my job, I also contracted a nagging skin allergy which was preventing me from sleeping or wearing certain materials on the body. I had to apply certain lotions every one hour and it was still very painful. All in all, life became a series of bitter agonies. Usually, in such times of deep pain, we will be alone. I was also friend-less and companion-less. Thus, everything was stripped from me, all my physical comforts were removed. And yet, at this time, spirituality soared. Awareness levels reached different dimensions. Masters took care.

Time and Space are not in our Control...Yet, time and space unite us.

One afternoon, after lunch, I felt that my senses were becoming dull or numb. I was in my office in Dubai. I decided to go home and rest. I got into my car and started driving home. On the way, I observed that someone was talking to me, instructing me to do a specific kind of breathing, which I did, while driving at the same time. I started diving within more and more, into a trance-like state…

Then the instruction came to shift my awareness to mind and thoughts. Soon enough, they also started subsiding. I barely managed to reach the building where I stayed, park my car, and reach my room. I somehow managed to close the door and lie down on my bed, facing the ceiling. The mobile phone which was in my hand, fell on the bed. I could not switch it off or put it into a silent mode. (Surprisingly, my mobile phone did not ring that whole evening. Thus, Babaji took care of all aspects).

I lied down, staring at the ceiling, in complete trance, as if paralyzed. I could not move a finger, even if I wanted to. Thus I remained from 3pm till about 9pm. That was the longest communion that I had with Babaji. My awareness was crystal clear. Body was immobile. Babaji told me many things, once again, about my path, the tradition that I belong to, the higher unity or unity between all Masters, purpose of life, and all the knowledge that I might need to continue with my mission of this life. I asked him many questions, which He patiently clarified (I do not have the permission to narrate the entire communication here, nor is it necessary – those were just clarifications and guidance, not futuristic predictions).

Biba leaning on Babaji's shoulder, with tears of Gratitude....A Unique Picture!!!!

In between, at around 8pm, Biba (Biljana) came to visit me. I could see her parking the car in front of my building (it was only then that I noticed that, in this heightened state of awareness, I had a sort of an X-ray vision and could easily see through the walls, furniture, etc. My apartment was on the third floor). Babaji permitted her to come and ask questions about something that was bothering her for several years (by this time, she was used to my trance states and was thus not surprised to see me in one, even though a 6 hour stint was surely unusual). She was even allowed to write down some of the messages.

Faith and Purity - The two pillars of spiritual existence

By 9.30pm, Babaji left me. Before that, I asked him: “Babaji, how can I reach you?” He replied: ”Do not worry. I will reach you.” At one point in our conversation, my Anahata expanded so much and I felt such overwhelming love towards this Supreme Master, that I felt like articulating that to him telepathically: “Babaji, I feel deep love for you. I really love you.” He cut that off abruptly: “Cut that nonsense.” – there was no time for formalities. There was nothing to give or take. It was a grand collaboration. All were a part of it. I started becoming aware of that.

Thus, I reached the second level of my communion with Babaji. I realized fully, through Babaji Boy, Richard and my own communion, that Babaji is just a name to call a phenomenon. He is not a man or just a Guru. He is representing the God Almighty in all His subtlety. Words cannot explain Him. I started realizing that I know nothing about Babaji. In fact, I know nothing at all.   We cannot even fathom his stature or size. Babaji operates in various lokas or planes. He is guiding thousands of beings. He has no form or gender. We cannot restrict him to any form, any thought or any word. He is eternal. He is omnipresent. He is right here, right now. He is everywhere. As Babaji Boy told me, ”Babaji does not exist in a body – he exists in every body. Moreover, he assumes a body, which the other can identify, when he needs to interact with someone, and discards it as soon as he is done with his temporary requirement. Just like we wear special clothes when we go out to meet people, he wears a body when he needs to interact.”

I hope the above narration helps the reader to have some understanding and higher awareness about the Great Master whom we can call Babaji, for identification’s sake. He is nameless, genderless, formless, and yet exists everywhere. Thank You, for being with me, here and now. Babaji Bless You.

Aum Babaji!

Love To All,

M

I am an Empty Pot. I give all I have...

Babaji – Beyond Definitions – Part 1

Dear Friends,

This is my humble attempt to express in words a phenomenon which is truly indescribable. Mahavatar Babaji is not a man or just a Guru. He is a phenomenon.

Babaji Exists Beyond Sheaths. He wears them only to fulfill a specific Dharma

Even the name Babaji, which is commonly used in India to address many spiritual Masters, cannot ever explain or convey the phenomenon that we call “Babaji”. Since we have to depend on a name to make others understand whom we are talking about, we shall use the name Babaji.

Babaji is beyond any intellectual understanding. He is beyond words and thoughts. He is beyond all kinds of spiritual theories and experiences. Any form or picture that is attributed to His image falls short of His stature. He represents the formless. But, He assumes the form that is in your mind, when ever he chooses to convey a message, just to let you know who is talking!!! A formless Master can choose any form, as long as it is necessary. Human mind, addicted to form, cannot be satisfied, until a convincing form is attached to a message. Otherwise, even if the message is truly relevant to the receiver, it is discarded as data or message born out of a suspicious origin. In order to satisfy this need, Babaji has appeared in forms understandable to the receiver, while in fact He remains formless. I realized this truth, in the most practical way.

This write up is about my experiences/impressions of Babaji. Even though I had questioned my eligibility to write about such a Maha Avatar (Great Incarnation), I thought that my experiences might help at least a few seekers in the path of spirituality.

There are many in this world who have had direct experiences from this inter-galactic Master. Each one’s experience could be unique and different. This is quite natural, because each one has different levels of evolution, eligibility and different levels of understanding. Hence, comparisons have no value. Please keep that in mind, as you proceed further.

An Image of the Formless. Babaji - the Phenomenon

The Mystery called Babaji

My First Introduction to Babaji – In This Life

Most people came to know about this powerful, omni-present Master through the great, outstanding and living literary accomplishment by Paramahamsa Yogananda  called “The Autobiography of a Yogi.” This was the case with me too. My first introduction to Babaji, in this life, was through this great book by Yogananda. I read the book many years ago, that is, in mid 1990s. I read about various Masters and was fascinated about them. Nothing more.

In 2000, my only daughter Ammu passed away, which brought immense sorrow into the life of all my family members including myself. That was the year that I visited Himalayas, for the first time. Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tapovan… – dips in the Holy Ganga were indeed purifying. Meditating in Vasishta Cave, meeting and talking to real saints and sadhus, who wanted nothing from me, was quite refreshing, especially for a man like me, who has always been dwelling in the commercial world of hard competition and severely conditioned relationships. People do not meet people without profits attached!!! The unconditional love of Himalayas was quite refreshing and promising. It created a new hope in me. A new purpose. It triggered my spirituality. It pushed me into a completely different path, which I was quite unaware of, till that time. The path of subtlety and power. The path of truth. The path of SHIVA.

Himalayas

Himalayas enchanted me so much. I could never resist the temptation of visiting Himalayas every year hence forth, which I continue till date. I still do so on Ammu’s death anniversary, every year.

In 2000, I met Mata Devi Vanamali, the Divine Mother, who is compassion incarnate, a great devotee of Lord Krishna. She adopted me as her spiritual son. She lives in Tapovan, near Rishikesh, on the banks of river Ganga. She told me “A son does not need permission to visit his parent’s house. This ashram is the same for you. You need no permission to come here. This is your home too.” Thus, I found my “home” in Himalayas.

Myself and Mata Devi Vanamali

Even though each trip brought me many new revelations, I was not consciously searching for Babaji. This thought was not even existing in my mind.

In 2002, I visited Badrinath temple along with Mataji, which is almost 16000 Feet high up in Himalayas. Oxygen is less in such heights and I was experiencing breathlessness. It was very cold too.

Babaji’s abode is supposed to be near Badrinath Temple. I was not aware of that. Now I realize that Babaji is everywhere and He does not stay just near Badri. However, an interesting encounter with an unknown saint happened there and I consider that to be an encounter with Babaji, even though I am not sure. Does it matter? Well, it happened as follows…

Badrinath Temple in Himalayas.

On the night we arrived, when I looked up in the sky, above the temple, I saw a round bright object in the sky. It looked like a Flying Saucer - a UFO. In a way, one is to expect many strange or indefinable things in Himalayas. So, I took it for granted that aliens could be visiting great Masters in Himalayas. I have heard that some of the great Masters meditating in Himalayas are not from earth. So, sighting an UFO was quite a possibility, as far as I was concerned.

In the morning, I realized that there is a mountain behind the temple, which is invisible in the night, and there is a small hut on top of this mountain. I could not see any roads going up to this hut. I asked Mataji and she said that an old saint lives there. I could not fathom the possibility of an old saint meditating so high up in the mountains, in such cold conditions. I wanted to meet him, but primarily due to my health conditions, and because I could not find any way to climb up there, I discarded the wish as an impossibility. We stayed there a couple of days and, on the third day, we decided to leave Badri.

Mataji told us that we will leave after the morning prayers in the temple. That day, the temple was packed with people. Mataji was allowed to sit right in front of the sanctum sanctorum, and I got into the fourth or fifth line behind her. From where I sat, I could easily see what was going on inside the temple. The prayers and rituals had started and everyone present was chanting mantras. There was high energy and great elevation. Suddenly, an old and frail man came to the door and walked through the crowd straight to the door of the sanctum sanctorum where Mataji was sitting. Everyone gave way. Mataji moved to one side and he sat down beside her. When I saw him, I felt great hidden power inside the old frail body. He was very thin, almost like a skeleton. I sat observing this man and the ritual. When the prayer ended, everyone got up to leave. The old saint walked past me, looked into my eyes and he suddenly caught my right hand in a strong grip. I can still feel his grip, whenever I remember this incident. He held my palm for a few seconds, amidst the crowd that was pushing and pulling us, and suddenly left it and walked out. He disappeared immediately and we could not find him anywhere. I could not understand this saint nor could I understand why he caught my palm in a strong grip like that, stared deep into my eyes, and disappeared so quickly. Everything was so mysterious.

When I came out, Mataji was waiting outside. She said “This trip is so blessed because I could sit next to this Great Yogi.” I told her what he did to me. She exclaimed “You are very lucky. He is a great Yogi, who stays away from human contact.” I asked her “Who is he?” She said “You had wanted to meet this saint who lives on top of the mountain behind the temple. That was him. Since you could not go there, He came down to see you. Such Masters always fulfill the sincere wishes of seekers.” That was such an overwhelming experience for me! It was a kind of a deep revelation. Gratitude filled my heart, like never before. Was that Babaji? Who knows? I never saw Him again.

The Babaji Boy

In 2004, I faced yet another crisis in life. I had to relocate from Oman and underwent many material losses and associated agonies. I also lost my job and was reasonably insecure about everything, except spirituality. That was the time, when I came to know and meet a man who was in constant communion with Babaji. Since I do not have the permission to disclose the name of this person nor his whereabouts, I just call him Babaji boy.

I first spoke to him, when he was visiting India and was at a friend’s place. When my friend told me that Babaji boy was in his place, I felt a deep urge to talk to him. I was in Dubai at that time, and my friend’s house is in India. When I told about my wish to my friend, he said “Oh, you are wasting your time, Mohanji. He does not even look at anyone, let alone speak. He is always in meditation, night and day.” That did not put me off. I still insisted and my friend finally took the initiative. I called at a particular time when Babaji boy was close to a convenient phone and my friend took my call. I could hear him telling something to Babaji Boy about me. I heard him say “Mohanji is calling from Dubai. He is a great soul. You must speak to him”, and gave the phone to Babaji Boy. I heard his voice for the first time. Even before I could say “hello”, he said ” Om Sai Ram…Om Sai Ram…Om Sai Ram…” three times and disconnected the phone. Suddenly, I felt something entering my head – it was like a bullet piercing my brain. Excruciating pain. Severe head ache followed. I could not even see anything clearly. Somehow, I managed to reach home and decided to sleep. I could not do anything else.

We need the tangible to understand the intangible. Duality leads to the inevitable Unity

August 15th. It was one week after he ‘spoke’ to me. I was going to India. I knew that I will be meeting Babaji Boy and was reasonably excited about it. I bought some high quality “dried date fruits” and as soon as I landed in India, I tried to meet him. It was not easy. I met my friend who was hosting him and he dampened my spirits when he said “Mohanji, it is not easy to meet him. He lives in a house, which is about an hour away by car from here. He always meditates and communes with Babaji. He never speaks to anyone. Does not even look at people. Does not eat much food. Maintains silence and does not come out of his room, unless essential.” I still insisted on seeing him. Finally, he surrendered to my persistence and soon, I was on my way to his abode. So many thoughts were going through my excited mind. I was like a child on the way to Disneyland.

When I reached his house, I was expecting a maid or house keeper to open the door. Before I could ring the bell, Babaji boy himself came and opened the door. My jaw dropped. I did not know what to say!!! I just stood there, looking at him. He broke the silence “Mohanji….Welcome”. I tried to explain who I am and why I am there. He cut my attempt quite abruptly and said “Babaji told me that you are coming. I was waiting for you. I have to give you something. Come with me.” My heart started beating faster. I walked with him into the living room of the house. I had the dried dates with me. I handed that over to him. I said “This is for you and Babaji”. He took it without any expressions. I thought he did not understand. I took it back from him, unwrapped it, and gave it back to him and said “These are special dates, for you and Babaji”. He said abruptly “I understood” which was a hint that he was not interested in formalities. He gestured me to take the seat opposite to him. He sat down too.

He said “Listen to me carefully. Yesterday night Babaji told me that you will be coming. He told me about you in detail. I know everything. I know the problem that you are facing with your meditation. Babaji says that “You should split your mind into two and go in between. You will reach your destination.” Babaji asked me to teach you a mudra (a sign or a particular way to join fingers to achieve a desired energy flow), which will empower you further.” He taught me and patiently perfected this mudra. He made me do it many times, until he was satisfied. Then, suddenly, he said “Let’s meditate together.” This was indeed unexpected. My friends were waiting outside and I had promised to be with my parents before sunset. Moreover, my friend, the host of Babaji boy, had told me that, once he starts to meditate, he will come out of it only after a few days. What will I do? I tried to meditate for about 30 minutes. I saw that Babaji boy had gone deep into meditation. I prostrated at his feet and left for home. That was a wonderful day for me. I was excited beyond limits. Babaji knows me and has indeed given me a precious, life changing mudra through his disciple!!!. I felt that this was indeed a great leap in my spiritual life.

The unexplainable shift

An Awareness Shift

The next day, there was a public function in my neighborhood. This was a function intended to honor people who excelled in charity service or selfless service. I was also honored at that function by a celebrity, for charity acts/ initiatives conducted through Ammucare, the organisation that I founded in 2003. However, my interest was not the award. My interest was that Babaji boy may be there at the function. This was another opportunity to spend some time in his energy field. As soon as I reached the venue, I went indoors, searching for him. I found him sitting with his eyes closed in a room at the far end of the stage. There was nobody else in the room. I sat next to him. When he felt my presence, he opened his eyes, looked at me briefly and closed the eyes again. He did not show any kind of recognition. I sat there and mentally conveyed my apologies for leaving him without proper good byes. I tried to convey telepathically, the following message “I am so sorry. I had to leave early yesterday, without telling you. I did not want to disturb you, because you were deep in meditation.” A few seconds later, he suddenly opened his eyes and said “It is okay. No formalities”. He got my telepathic message and responded verbally!!! This was truly amazing. My connectivity with him was clear to me and it is working!!!. Suddenly, a strong vibration, like a storm started within my body. As I was sitting there, I realized that I cannot move. I was feeling paralyzed. Energy started forming like bubbles inside my stomach region, rising like bubbles of soda water inside a glass. I felt a lot of bubble-like energy forming, moving and bursting inside my head. It was not scary though. While all of this was happening, my conscious mind and active senses were also recognizing my state and the program that is happening outside this room. A subtle awareness was there that my name will be called anytime to come to the podium for the honoring. The awareness that I cannot move my body as well as the awareness that something drastic is happening within me consumed me completely. I was highly expanded and was witnessing the happenings inside my body as well as the speeches and proceedings of the function outside. I do not know how long I sat there. I was hoping that Babaji boy will rescue me, and help me reach the podium the moment when my name will be called. He did not do anything. He looked as if he was in a trance state too. I was definitely in a trance state. Suddenly, a saint who was sitting on the stage, rushed into the room where we were sitting, without saying anything to both of us; he  gently brushed his hand over my head and quickly went back. Within seconds, I became normal. At the same time, my name was announced and I managed to walk to the stage while they were describing the activities of Ammucare for the poor and helpless. I went on stage, received the honor and was about to go back when the chief guest asked me to say a few words. I could not. I was in a different state. I just expressed my sincere thanks and gratitude for the honor with limited words and mostly through body language and quickly came back to the room where Babaji boy was still sitting. He was in the same state and did not even acknowledge my presence or my movements in the room.

The Parting and the Priceless Gift

I could not spend much time with Babaji boy afterwards. Soon enough, I came to know that he will be leaving that place soon. One evening, I was sitting, chatting with my parents, when a phone call came. I was surprised to hear the voice of Babaji Boy. He was abrupt, as usual: “I am leaving tonight. I would like to meet you. Can I come over for dinner at your place?” I was so pleased with this proposition! I immediately invited him. He arrived by car. As soon as he entered the house, he asked me to take him to the room where my parents have kept the altar and the lamp burning. There are many pictures and idols there. He stood silent in prayer for a few minutes. He called me and showed me his picture of Babaji. I know that for him, this picture was like a link or connection to Babaji. He would never even show this picture to anyone – he considers it so sacred and personal. He always carries this picture with him. He said ”Babaji asked me to give this picture to you.” Oh, what a surprize that was! I knew that this picture is priceless. It was as if Babaji Boy was giving his own life to me. I was deeply honored and humbled by the love of Babaji. Without any emotions, he handed over the picture to me and said “Take care of this. Babaji will speak to you.” I could not believe all that happened in such a short span of time. I wondered about my eligibility for this love and grace. What have I done to achieve all this? Only Babaji knows. Anyway, I was indebted and overwhelmed. Babaji boy had his dinner with us and he left the same night. I never met or communicated with him ever again. I felt as if Babaji boy was sent by Babaji himself to guide me to His path, and left after accomplishing this task. He accepted nothing from me in return, except perhaps the dinner, which certainly has no value compared to the blessings that he showered on me. He subtly taught me many things. He changed my constitution, without articulating it. Thus I encountered another selfless soul. My path was getting clearer. I was beginning to understand my tradition and the purpose of my existence. The picture that Babaji Boy gave me is still with me, on my altar – a priceless possession…

The story will continue…..

The Velocity of Emotions

Deep in Delusion, We often miss the Beauty of Life and we forget to LOVE.

This is a work of FICTION. Any resemblance to those alive or dead is a sheer co-incidence.

Emotions are always temporary. When we live unconsciously, life glides from one emotion to another. A man who exists based on emotions, will experience extreme turbulences in life. A man who uses his intellect more than emotions, will experience a life of relative calm and poise. Emotions lead to calamities. Emotions flow out of ego. When emotion flows, it locks up the intellect. When intellect is unavailable, if unchecked, it kills people and their personal environments.

Man Walks the Path of Emotions and Attachments. Karmic entanglement ensures Re-birth

Agony and Ecstasy

In Bengal, in early 1900s lived a Yogi called Liladhar. He was quite introverted and unassuming. He used to give lectures on Bhagawad Gita and other scriptures to the villagers. He used to teach students and thus earn his livelihood. He led a very humble life. He cooked his own food, washed his own clothes, cleaned the house himself, and he shared his food with anyone who came hungry while he prepared his food. His needs were very limited. He lived in a single room near the river. People revered him and respected him. Thus, he lived a quiet life, till about 40 years of age.

Frustration Leads to Crime. Suppression leads to erratic actions. Society is a cluster of multiple expressions.

There was a brothel about 500 meters away from his house, in the same street where he lived, which used to be visited by many people from the village as well as from the neighboring villages. One day, people saw, with great surprise, Liladhar visiting this brothel. All were surprised as well as shocked. Yet, nobody dared to ask him anything. They were even more shocked when they saw him visiting the brothel again, the next day, after sun set. This went on, day after day - every night he visited the brothel and spent the whole night there, with one particular young woman, who had just been brought into this brothel. This seeming weakness of his, steadily tarnished his image. He fell in the eyes of the villagers. They stopped attending his classes. They refused to send their children to him. He became jobless and penniless. For a few days, he did some odd jobs in the locality. Soon, people stopped giving him any job. He went around begging, and somehow, everyday, he made just enough money to spend the night at the brothel with this woman. Even if he could not buy food, he religiously visited this woman. He did not forfeit his habit at any cost. Finally, when nobody even gave him alms in his village, he went to the neighboring town every morning, earned his money through odd jobs or begging in the streets, and came back in the evening to visit this particular woman at the brothel. Some youngsters even beat him, destroyed his one-room house, and even threatened to kill him, because they decided that he was not doing something that befitted a spiritual man. They decided that he was violating the moral consciousness of the society. Some people of the village tried to expel him from the village by force. But, it was effectively aborted by some elderly villagers who explained to them that “his karma will take care of him”.

Everyone Contributes to Existence. None High or none Low. Everything just is!!!

Some others who used to frequent this brothel became curious about this woman. Nobody ever saw her, because Liladhar used to occupy her room, before others arrive. They even bribed the woman who was running the brothel and offered her much higher pay, for one night with this mystery woman. Each time someone tried this, the brothel woman blackmailed Liladhar and extracted higher pay for the prescribed night with this woman. He toiled more and more for this extra money which the owner woman increasingly extorted day by day.

When Sex becomes Lust, Men Fall.

Still, he did not change his ways and this practice went on for about five or six years until one day, the woman whom he used to visit fell sick, vomited blood, and was hospitalized. On the same evening, she passed away. There was no one to claim her body. No one wanted to claim the body of a prostitute. The wise, morality conscious society was very clear about that!!!. Liladhar received her body, found enough money and arranged a proper funeral for her.

After the funeral, on the same night, he prepared to leave the place. He gave his house, even though partially damaged by the morality conscious society, to an old woman who was homeless, abandoned and lonely. Any shelter was better than no shelter for that old woman. She was well pleased. She blessed him for his kindness. While he was leaving, the old woman asked: “My son, you are a kind man, but you have suffered a lot in silence – without complaining, because of your weakness for one woman. She is dead now. Tell me, what made a balanced person like you, to undergo so much pain and trouble for the sake of a prostitute?”

Liladhar smiled and said: “That was my wife from my last life. She craved for physical relationship with many men in her last life, and she became a prostitute in this life. But, she never wanted to prostitute in this life. She was forcefully sold to this brothel by her relatives, because her destiny was such. She wanted to escape from there, but was quite helpless. Since she did not have enough money to buy freedom, nor did I have sufficient money to rescue her, I gave her company every night till she died. The whole night, I taught her various scriptures and words from the divine Masters. We never slept. She slept in the morning while I worked to earn money, to meet her in the evening. Day by day, she became spiritually evolved and attained liberation at death. I sacrificed my sleep and reputation for a noble cause. It was more important to serve a helpless woman than a thankless society reeling in inhibitions and non-understanding. I never even touched her once. This helped her to remain chaste and get liberation in this life. Because she served me sincerely in her last life as my wife, I returned the service and thus equalized the karmic debt. This will help my liberation too.  Now, I have nothing more to do here.  So, I am leaving for Himalayas. The time for my final liberation is at hands reach.”

He walked away, without looking back. After he left, this story started spreading from mouth to mouth and the villagers started feeling guilty for torturing a noble man. Some even went searching for him in the neighboring places to bring him back. It was too late. He never left any address behind for anybody to find him.

Life is not what we see or understand through our social eyes. It is much beyond. We cannot judge anyone’s actions using our limited intellect or levels of understanding, especially if the subject is a true liberated saint. We have the history of torturing and killing all the liberated saints, especially if they become rich or popular. Gross cannot understand subtle. Subtle can understand gross, but usually never interferes, just like our soul does not interfere in our waking life, except aiding it. The subtler we become, the more connected we will be to our soul. Our life may not be in line with social norms anymore. It will become more in line with the larger dharma which will be intangible and incomprehensible to the average general consciousness.

Pearls at the bottom of the Sea

The Journey is Tough, Especially When the Destination is Unclear. Tenacity of Conviction is the Key for Success

Ahmed was born in an orthodox middle class Indian family. His elders were all religion-bound. His mother, whom he loved a lot, was open and warm towards all cultures and religions. He grew up with the same mentality – under his mother’s loving guidance and protection, despite his getting officiated into his religion by birth, at the appropriate age. Soon after his birth, his father expired leaving him and his mother alone. Life became tough for him and his mother. He had to leave his education half way because of poverty. His mother tried her best to get him across the 10th class. And soon afterwards, he migrated to the Arab world, looking for survival. He was too young and inexperienced. He could only find odd jobs, which did not pay him well. He spent ten years in an Arab country and came back to look after his ailing mother. He found a steady job in the local market, loading and offloading food stuff into local warehouses. He earned his daily bread without complaints. Soon, he got married to a woman whom he knew since childhood. She was from a conservative as well as orthodox family and was quite rigid in her views. They also had two children in the course of time.

Ahmed was quite a spiritual man. He was quite liberal in his views and strongly believed in the necessity for co-existence of various paths of spirituality. He was always filled with compassion for the poor and needy, irrespective of their religion. Ahmed easily became an odd man out in a society segregated by religion. The usual question to him was – “why do you have to help those who are outside our religion, when there are many poor people within our community?” Ahmed just smiled and brushed away such remarks, because his vision was very clear and unbiased.

He continued his usual religious practices regularly, at the same time, he tried his best to help the poor, sick and helpless of the society. Even though he earned just about enough money to run his family, he shared his income with the sick and the abandoned, by visiting the local government hospital when ever he got time, many times a week. He expressed abundance within his limited income.

He was quickly evolving in spirituality through his genuine selfless acts or karma yoga. He was leading a satisfactory existence – both spiritually and charity wise. At the same time, he thirsted for more. He did not know what he was looking for, but, he felt that there is a mighty ocean of existence within himself, that he must taste and explore. He did not know how to reach that abundant world of peace within. And yet, somehow, he was always aware of that world, its proximity and existence within.

He started attending classes of other religions in his pursuit to find answers to his deepest questions. He belonged to an orthodox community. They did everything to prevent a young lamb from straying into unknown terrains. He was warned by elders time and again, not to attend other religious lectures and stick to his own. Still, he continued his pursuit. He became an odd man in his own house as well as the society. His mother understood him well. His wife, who hailed from a conservative family, did not. She argued with him many times, even threatened to leave him, if he brought disgrace to their family because of his strange habits. He subtly escaped such situations in the house. Even though he searched for truth through many teachers of his religion of birth and others, nothing helped him ultimately, to progress further. Something was missing and it remained as a nagging pain, within. He knew that he was in search of something much higher, greater and deeper than what he has experienced in life so far. A pleasure beyond imagination. There was definitely discontentment and disappointment with his lack of progress. But, he immersed himself in social work and thus lived a relatively peaceful life. The elders of his religion did not bother him much because of his inclination for social service and his willingness to help everyone. Many of them were receivers of his assistance at various points of time. Their thankfulness indirectly saved him from troubles, as they chose to keep a blind eye towards his wanderings.

One night, he had sufficient work which kept him busy till late evening. While coming home through an alley, close to a

Extreme Penance is a test of Endurance as well as the depth of conviction. It is not easy. It is not for everyone. Everyone need not travel this path too.

river, he saw one man with his head and face covered moving alone towards the river. There was no light anywhere and it was difficult to recognize him. He thought it would be a thief and without his knowledge, Ahmed followed him. This man walked up to the river and stood there for sometime, observing the surroundings. There was a thin light illumining the sky and the earth from the waning moon, when they came to the river bank. Ahmed hid behind a tree and watched. The other man removed his clothes, made a bundle of them, tied it to his back, and swam across the river. There was not much water because it was summer time. Most part of the river was dry and he could easily swim across. When he reached the other shore, he wiped himself, wore his clothes again and walked towards the trees. Ahmed, did the same and followed him. He went into a dark alley and further deeper into the trees. He reached a cave which was invisible from any road, and was almost hidden by creepers. The man ahead entered the cave, spread a thick cloth which was already existing there, prayed quietly for a few minutes in silence, removed all his clothes except the loin cloth, and stood upside down with his legs in lotus posture above and his head below, supported by his hands. Ahmed waited for a few hours, hiding himself behind a tree. That area was almost like a forest, with trees and bushes. He became conscious and worried that snakes or wild animals could be roaming free there, deep in night, looking for prey.

The man did not change his posture for hours. Ahmed felt tired and  slept, leaning his back against a tree. Even though he was determined to see to the end of this unusual sight, he fell asleep. By 4AM, a slight sound from inside the cave woke him up. The man inside was now sitting in erect posture and doing hyper ventillation or praanayaam. Soon, he completed his chores, got up, wore his clothes and started his journey back, the same way he came there. Ahmed followed him. After they crossed the river, through the dark alley, to his biggest surprise, this man entered the quarters of priests of his religion, through a back door. Even though he could not see the man’s face fully, he recognized his regular priest. He was determined to know more. He decided to wait the next day and see if the same saga will take place. It did. Every night, this happened. He recognized the priest who is practicing deep penance, alone and in wilderness. Finally, one day, he decided to confront this priest. After the prayers, when everyone left the premises, Ahmed went to the priest and requested his audience. The young priest, almost the same age of Ahmed, readily agreed. He explained everything that he has been witnessing each night, to the priest. At first, the priest had an expression of surprise and a tinge of fear on his face. What if his orthodox community finds out what is happening with him, after people go to bed!!! Soon, he reconciled with the situation and smiled. He asked Ahmed. “What do you want from me?” Ahmed said, “Please teach me what you are doing. I want to experience higher spirituality”. The priest agreed, under one condition – that Ahmed will never tell this to another soul in this life time.

Extreme Conviction and Persistence Leads us to the Ultimate Liberation

Thus, he started travelling with the priest to the cave at the other side of the river every night. The priest taught him how to stand upside down for a long time and learn concentration and later, real meditation. One more youngster found their secret out and he also joined them. He was trustworthy and without any fear, their spiritual practice continued without any interruption, safely away from the eye of the public.

However, terrible interruption happened in Ahmed’s household sector. His wife started suspecting him to having another girlfriend, a second wife or at least a regular romance. She was convinced that the prompt exit of her husband, every night, has the lure of some woman behind it. She asked him many times and he could never give her any satisfactory answer. He trusted his mother and told her everything and she agreed with her son that this should remain extremely confidential because of many reasons. But, day by day, his wife began to create more and more tantrums. She told her father that her husband has found another woman and goes to her, every night after 10PM and comes back before dawn. Ahmed’s father in law called him and counseled him. In their religion, it is allowed to marry more than one wife, but, he should have the capacity to look after each wife in the same manner by providing the same facilities. Ahmed is relatively a poor man. So, taking that into consideration, Ahmed’s father in law tried his best to make Ahmed understand that what he is currently doing is against the will of God, community as well as the society.

Despite all these troubles, Ahmed continued his spiritual practice which gave him immense satisfaction. His energy level was very high. He involved himself in more social service than before. As he evolved in spirituality, his wife’s frustration also evolved to a stage of intolerance. Finally, frustrated and angry, she took her children and left for her parents house with a vow never to return back until her husband ends his relationship with the other woman. Even though she tried to trace the other woman in Ahmed’s life or at least find out who that could be, she was not successful in that attempt too. Completely frustrated and helpless, she even blamed Ahmed’s mother for supporting her son in all his weaknesses.

Even though his wife left him with their children, Ahmed still did not change his ways. Ahmed did miss his children when ever he came home. Yet, did not do much to bring them back, because he knew that he could explain nothing to his wife and knew very well that she will never understand him. He tried to visit his children at her parents house and gift them some sweets that they loved, he was not allowed entry into the house or access to his children. He had created so much anger and hatred in his wife.

Months passed by. Some people of his community decided that he is not conforming to the norms of their religion, because he is also visiting the places of worship of other religions. They joined together and excommunicated him from his religion. Against all odds, Ahmed continued his spiritual journey. He even visited the central place of his religion in the Arab land, the very seat of his religion twice and offered his prayers there. This surprised the elders. They thought “Some of us who are more punctual in our prayers could not visit the holy city. A non-believer like Ahmed was able to. Without the call of the Supreme Almighty, nobody can go to the Holy city. This means Ahmed has the grace of the Almighty. We should bring him back to our community.” Thus, eventually, without any effort from his side for that, Ahmed was re-instated in his community.

Conviction is the rope that holds the man against all odds of life

Ahmed never changed his ways. He progressed a lot spiritually through his rigorous practice and found that all religions are the same and that God is One. Soon, he stopped his nocturnal travel and started practicing within closed doors of his own room. This news reached his wife’s ears and she returned back with their children. She came to know that her husband was only doing some strange spiritual practices and it had nothing to do with sex or women. She was happy, even though she tried to convince Ahmed to walk the beaten track. Ahmed, without confrontation, continued his pursuit. Thus, the family was finally re-united and Ahmed and his family still exist, quite peacefully, in a corner of this vast world.

Most of us fail because of our lack of conviction. If there is purity and selflessness in thoughts, words and action, this truth itself will strengthen us against all the odds.

The Velocity of Emotions

Mother and Son - A Sacred Relationship

Victoria’s husband died when their son Adam was only two years old. It was indeed a tough task for Victoria to bring up a toddler into a healthy man. She worked hard to make both ends meet. They lived in a town close to the sea at the cape. The place was peaceful in the day time, but, quite dangerous, after dark. Gentlemen and ladies never ventured out after sunset. Adam grew up rapidly into a strong and handsome man. Victoria was a bit over protective about Adam and she did everything to keep Adam from any complications of the city. She even made sure that he mingles with the “right” type of people. She hovered over him all the time. When Adam found Diana, he tried his best to gain privacy for both of them, from his over zealous mother. Diana had two brothers and she was living in the outskirts of the city. As their love progressed, Adam stayed away from home more and more, to be with Diana. This created more agony for Victoria.

Adam was 21 and he won a job in a company as an apprentice. He had his work and his girl friend. He was happy and contended. But, time spent with his mother became lesser and lesser. Victoria had nothing else in her world except Adam. She started feeling lonely and abandoned.

One evening, while coming back home from dropping Diana to her home after sunset, Adam saw one of Diana’s brother named Sam lying in a pool of blood on the road. He promptly took him to the hospital and the boy survived. Police got involved and the boy named the guys who did this to him. They were arrested. Since they were below the age of recognized adulthood, they were warned, fined and left free. This was Adam’s first experience of anything as ugly as that. He decided not to tell his mother. Why make her worry further?

Two months later, Diana’s brother Sam, now reasonably recovered, invited Adam for a drink after work. Adam agreed. Adam thought that Sam wants to express his gratitude for saving his life, in this way. They met at the appointed place and had a few drinks. Adam told Sam about his intention to marry Diana. Thus, the pleasant evening went by and their bonding strengthened. Adam offered to drop Sam on his motor cycle as Sam had not started to ride a bike as yet, after his injury. It was almost 10 PM. As they reached the alley where Sam was attacked earlier, something hit the bike and both of them fell down from the bike. Before Adam could understand what was happening, he saw three boys dragging Sam to the side of the road. Adam rushed towards Sam to rescue him. The bigger of the three turned towards Adam and shouted “Run, if you want to be alive”. Adam ignored his words and tried to grab Sam. Suddenly, he felt a severe pain in his lower back. He could not get up. Again he felt something sharp piercing his body many more times. He fell unconscious. His soul left his injured body, immediately.

Victoria woke up with the rude shock of  the terrible news. Adam is NO MORE. Police had arrested the murderer, also a youngster, maybe a few years older than Adam. Victoria was completely shattered. She did not know what to do next. How to survive alone till death? Her whole life lay shattered. She was shivering with helplessness.

Since this was a murder, a criminal offence, Victoria had to attend the court. She saw her son’s murderer. His name was Nick. He was being convicted for murder. She screamed at him “The law may not kill you, but I will. I will wait till you come back. I will stay alive, just to kill you. You killed an innocent man. You really need to be punished.” The murderer was given imprisonment  for 10 years as the punishment for the murder that he seem to have committed, as there was no witness and only circumstantial evidence. But, Victoria was sure that he killed Adam. A mother’s instinct. Victoria thought it is too short a term for such a henious crime.

Ten years passed by. Victoria remembered the exact date and time of Nick’s release. She waited outside the prison. She saw Nick coming out of the gates of the prison. She went to him. He looked at her without any expressions of fear or anger. He looked resigned to his fate. She asked: “Where are you going?” He said “I do not know. I am homeless.” She said, “Come with me”. She took Nick in her car to her home. She gave him a room and asked him to take bath. She also gave him fresh clothes, that her son used to wear. Fortunately, Nick was of the same size as of Adam.Afterwards, she gave him soup, salad and bread. After food, she escorted him to a bedroom, which her son used to use, and allowed him to sleep peacefully. All the walls of that room had many pictures of Adam at various age of his life, till death. Nick could not sleep. His mind was full of repentance. He could sleep better in the jail with lesser facilities. He could not sleep in that room filled with the vibrations of the person whom he had killed.

In the next morning, Victoria saw Nick sleeping on the sofa in the living room and woke him up. After he brushed and bathed, Victoria gave him a healthy break fast. After break fast, Nick prepared to leave. Victoria asked “Where will you go? Do you have a house?” He said “No”. I have nobody. I am an orphan. Victoria said “I am alone here. This house is big. You can stay here as long as you want.”

Nick looked at her in disbelief. He looked into her eyes and asked in a low voice:. “When I was going to the prison, I heard your screams all the way until the door closed. You were shouting ‘I will kill you. I will wait till you come out. I will kill you.’ Now, tell me, when will you kill me? Are you doing all this to kill me in the end?”

Victoria looked straight into his eyes. Without blinking, she said “I have already killed the man who killed my son. You are not the same. You are just an orphan who is homeless. How can I kill you?”

Nick burst out into tears. Victoria put his head on her shoulder and allowed him to rain his emotions.

Forgiveness is one of the highest of virtues. Love converts criminals. Punishment reinforces crimes and the guilt attached.

In Search of a Guru

The Eternal Search of Life. Search for Oneself.

David decided to leave his home at the age of 23. This was a major decision of his life. He was quite disillusioned with the way his life was going, especially with the competition in the world and the associated rat-race. He was not cut out to weather such competition which existed throughout his school days and through university days as well. All the students seemed pretty preoccupied or obsessed with making it big in the material world, which felt too shallow for David. There has to be something much more meaningful in life. Finally, he achieved post graduation in English Language and Literature. Even though everyone thought that he would end up in an educational institution teaching children, he decided to walk out into the much wider world, avoiding identities. He was in search of a spiritual Guru.

He went to the North of India, the foot hills of Himalayas. At some point of time, Himalayas call all spiritual seekers, one way or the other. He went up and down the mighty mountain many times, by foot and in vehicles. He practiced various methods and techniques to connect with God, but internally, the search for his Guru continued. He spent almost four years this way. Many times, he thought that he found him. And each time disappointment happened, one way or the other. Thus, one evening, as he was sitting in disillusionment and sadness, looking at the flow of River Ganga, a young man with bright eyes came to him. David noticed the sparkle in his eyes and somehow felt attracted by it instantly. The young man just introduced himself just as Govind and did not explain further about himself. He was quite abrupt in his communication. He said “I was sent by Siddha Baba, to tell you that your Guru lives in the south of India and not here. You must search for him there.” David was so surprised with this unexpected revelation, he could not speak for some time. ” How did this man know who I am and what I am looking for?” While David was in that state, the young man asked David to write down the details of the location where his Guru existed. David noted everything down, drew a map, and before he could ask further about Siddha Baba and his messenger, the young man disappeared, without even waiting for an expression of gratitude from David. He realized: ” When disciple is ready, the Guru appears.” The next day, David packed his bag and left for the southern Indian state that the young man had described. He reached there in a week. The young man had described the looks of his Guru. David already had made an image of his Guru in his mind and started searching for him. But, even though he searched for days in all the ashrams in the neighborhood, he could not trace this Guru. Days went by. He checked with all who looked like a Swami or saint or at least a spiritual person. He went to temples and monasteries. Nobody could guide him to his Guru. The young man sent by Siddha Baba had only told him the location or the city where he could find him, not the exact house. This made things worse.

Day by day David started getting depressed more and more. One night, he had a dream in which the same young man who guided him to this place came again. In the dream, he told David the exact name of the village, right at the outskirts of the city where his Guru lived. Still he did not give the address of his Guru’s house!!!

He got up from his sleep, refreshed himself before the sunrise and took the first bus to this village. There were no monasteries and hermitages in that village. This made him angry. David scolded himself for believing in a dream. After making sure that there are no Gurus or Acharyas in this village, he walked back to the bus stop, in disappointment, and waited for the bus. While sitting at the bus stop, his eyes went to a vegetable vendor opposite to where he was sitting. There he saw a man with bare chest, wearing a single piece cloth around his waist, buying vegetables and putting them in bags made of thick cloth. For a moment, David’s eyes got locked with his. Suddenly, he turned and immersed himself back into his purchase. Then it clicked. David knew that was his Guru. He went to him and offered his greetings to the other man. He just looked and nodded his head, without any expressions. And abruptly, he paid for the vegetables that he had bought from the shop and started walking away with his two bags, without even looking at David once again. David stood still for a few seconds, not knowing what to do next. He realized ” I have searched for a Guru since years and now I have found him. Even though he does not look like a spiritual Guru, he could be an enlightened soul, capable of being a Guru.”  What confused David was his costume. He looked like a domestic servant. No shirt and only a white cloth around his waist. Quickly he gathered himself and ran after this man, who seemed to be in his fifty’s. David tried to ask many questions and the man answered in a word or two, obviously not interested in that conversation. Finally, he stopped. Looked into the eyes of David and said ” I am a poor man. A domestic servant, serving a rich farmer in the village. What do you want from me?”

David explained everything to him. He listened to David’s story patiently, both standing under a tree. Then he said “I appreciate your sincerity and steadfastness. Many seekers have no conviction and no faith. That is why they do not progress. They always doubt in themselves, their path and also their Guru. They reach nowhere. You have come all the way, searching for me. I have no disciples. But, I have to accept you. However, do remember, I am working here as a domestic servant. I can teach you only after I complete the household chores, in the night. You should not disturb me in the morning, till night.” He started walking. ” It is time for my master to have his lunch. I must hurry. He should not be waiting for me.” He started running home.

Guru Appears at the right time in disciples life. Recognizing him is the most difficult thing.

David agreed to his Guru’s demands and his spiritual journey took a different turn. For once, his faith got re-instated in his dream as well as the guidance. He and His Guru met at 10 PM that night. Even though he has been working the whole day, his Guru seemed to be fresh and had no sign of fatigue on his face. he also seem to be happy and liking his work or what he was doing for a living. David asked ” Guruji, I realize that you are a great Siddha. Only a true siddha can be so unassuming like you and stay away from public eye so effectively. Why are you involved in such a job, instead of pursuing your spirituality through other means? Why are you not teaching students? Why don’t you have your own hermitage? I am sure the whole world would be benefited. We have a society in which pretensions sell well and genuine material remains unrecognized or unwanted.”

David’s Guru started laughing. He said “You are the first disciple that ever came my way. First of all, I am not concerned about my status. How does that matter to me? What ever my spiritual status is, it just is. It cannot be another. I have to move on from where I stand, establish in the consciousness that I am in. It does not matter and it is not a subject for comparisons. Comparison means ego, as we will be comparing ourselves with another person. Secondly, our own establishment also adds to ego, as “me and mine” becomes predominant. Competition is not my path. Nullification is. I have effectively nullified my identity. I have no address of my own except a care of address and just have a name for identification’s sake. I do not own any property or possessions. All that I use is my master’s. Everything belongs to him. I do not earn enough to pay taxes. I do not have to vote in this place, as I came from else where, hence no politician is interested in me. I do not have a passport. I am a non-entity. My master gives me a place to sleep. He provides me with food, clothes and shelter. I have no more needs. I am well protected and I have the whole night to myself to do my spiritual practices. I am living in the present. I have no anxieties or fears. Now, existence has sent you. I was told that you will come. But, still I tested you. I like your tenacity and conviction. So, I accepted you as my disciple. Our path is that of simplicity and purity. We have nothing to prove. Hope you understand this well.”

Thus, David found his Guru in a very ordinary man. David also found his path. He was deeply contented and his search for a Guru ended there.

All that glitters is not Gold. God often comes to our doorstep in the guise of a beggar. Identify God in everything. You will remain in bliss and peace.

All our identities are temporary. When we wake up to this reality, peace descends in our hearts. There is nothing to prove anymore.

Enlightenment and Dissolution

Q: What is God? Can you Explain God?

God is unexplainable. God is EVERYTHING. The Good and the Bad is God. God can be experienced, but cannot be explained. Only in the depth of silence, can you hear the foot-steps of God. God is the vast and unfathomable entity, name-less, form-less, gender-less etc. All its representations are called LORDs. Lord Jesus, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, etc. There is only one God. But, it has many manifestations. Many expressions. All the expressions that we see in the whole universe are the one God’s expressions. Only when you go deeper and subtler, will you recognize that. It may take life times.

God is Infinity. It has no form, name, color, taste, smell or specific character. God is Omni-present. Everything that we could see and feel are its manifestations. God is beyond all dualities that are associated with relativity. God is in all dualities. God is in relativity, but God is not that. God has no states – even bliss state, all states of existence, are God.

God has no time or space, all time and space is God. God is neither happiness nor sorrow - all emotions are God, but God is not emotions. God has no Gunas (Satwa, Rajas, Tamas) – All Gunas are enlivened by God. God is perpetual awareness - various levels of awareness have its root in God. God is infinity, as the whole universe exists within God.

Lifetimes of Dis-entanglement from Karma Lead one to Liberation and Ultimate Merger with the Supreme.

God is the reason for relativity, which paved way for creation and creativity. God is the awareness of the reason for relativity. In the midst of multitudes of expressions, God stays liberated. God is above all Kings, Lords, Dieties, Demi-Gods, Angels, Demons, Devils, Human Beings, Animals, Birds, Reptiles and every other creation. God is beyond them all. All these exist within God. All these are enlivened by God. We can see only manifestations of God. We can only experience God. God is inexplainable.

God can only be Experienced not Explained...

Q: How can we experience God?

A: We can experience God, when we develop subtlety. This may take life times. We have to transcend sheath by sheath within ourselves until we unite with our own Soul, the source of our existence. We can call it enlightenment. Enlightenment also gives only a micro glimpse of God experience. When we have to continue operating in the body level, we keep shifting between the micro and the macro. Maya (illusion) lurks around the corner. It constantly attacks. Delusion is easy. It takes extreme vigilance to stay connected to the soul further. From soul, through extreme devotion, by shifting all the actions to dharmic mode, we can start to taste God. This is easier said than done. We have fallen so deeply in consciousness. Fortunately, we do not know how much have we fallen. In this way, Ignorance is bliss. :-) Since we do not know the depth of our fall, we can keep up hopes and keep climbing. Well, It is a deep subject. One can write volumes about it.

Enlightenment is a Shift in Consciousness...

Q: What is Enlightenment?

A: Enlightenment cannot be easily explained in words. Enlightenment happens, when the ground is set for its landing. It happens, when doing-ness stops and being-ness takes place. It happens in the absolute level of equanimity, where the ego element remains completely nullified. It is a shift in awareness. Enlightenment is a big leap. This means a leap from limited awareness, to unlimited awareness. From the state of limited body consciousness, its attached mind consciousness and its intellect and ego, to unlimitedly expanded awareness state. The awareness is in 360 degrees. You are aware of everything around you and the bodily boundaries are blurred. This happens when the same mind that goes for a stroll with the senses merges and dissolves with the soul instead. Deeper unity and total awareness take place.

States of Samadhi are unexplainable. Words fall helpless.

Q: Is the actual experience of Enlightenment describable?

A: It is not. Words are far too shallow to explain an experience such as the explosion of silence or cosmic consciousness. Many people have attempted it. Paramahamsa Yogananda does it in the ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’. Usually, silence slides in after the experience and the need for expression gets erased. For many people, the need for communication itself gets erased. There is nothing to do, nothing to prove, nothing to say. Everything just is. Everything is a part of our existence and we are part of everything too. In such condition, there is perfect stillness and supreme perfection. How can anyone explain such a state? Even if someone does, it will only become a theory in the reader’s mind. Moreover, Enlightenment experience is not the same for all. It differs from person to person. It differs with each person’s individual constitution. It differs according to the Sattwa, Rajas, Tamas combination of the individual who undergoes the shift. So, even though a general idea can be given about the experience, like Paramahamsa did, it is not really describable.

Enlightenment is a Juncture, a shift or transition. The Journey continues...

Q: Is enlightenment the final? Then what?

A: Enlightenment is like a graduation. You have arrived at a different level of existence. Then, before complete liberation, there are still miles to travel. However, the push of the mind for results will not be bothering you and hence the journey will be more pleasant. So, once the shift of higher awareness happens within, the path ahead becomes fully illumined.

Two main parellel things happen, quite simultaneously. One is the self purification and dissolution, and the second is the repayment of debts to the Mother Earth. This is the most treacherous time. First of all, the grossness and street-smartedess of terrestrial existence is less. And secondly, the enlightened one has to live with the gross society while existing in his/her subtler state. People get tossed around a lot, in this state.

Spiritual Journey needs firm Commitment and Conviction. Faith is the stick. Masters are its Road signs.

Q: The treacherous tracks

A: Indeed. When a man operates in the present, he is not plagued by the guilt over the past or the anxiety over the future. He lives moment by moment. When he is perpetually in 360 degree awareness it helps him in settling in more and more. This needs relative isolation and limited interaction. When the need for interacting with the world arises, we need the help of senses. When senses are to be used, there is a limited mind – like controlled electricity, necessary to activate the senses. This limits the man from his newly acquired larger awareness to limited sensory awareness. The more he interacts at the sensory level, the more vulnerable he becomes to the terrestrial lures. It does not matter if it is an enlightened man or an unenlightened one. The effect is more or less the same. So, if the Yogi intends to convey his wisdom to the terrestrial world, he also needs to face the consequences related to the terrestrial existence.

For most Yogis, who have already shifted from Karma to Dharma, terrestrial interaction is only a self-less service, SEVA. Then again, high level of equanimity and self-control is necessary. This is more easier for a woman than a man, because, men get lured by sight (Visual oriented-ness) and women get lured only by touch or feeling. Many Yogis fall. We have seen that happening time and again. This is also because, even though the enlightenment has occurred, the subtle samskaaras (impressions) are still existing in the deeper layers. This provokes desires for enjoyment of sensory pleasures, if he has not grown beyond it. Even if they have grown beyond it, often, hey reflect those who come into contact with them, as a truthful mirror. They express the other’s samskaaras, take it over and eventually suffer from that. This is mainly on two matters – Food and Sex. The two aspects that bind all species and human kind especially on terrestrial plane. If food is considered as sustenance to maintain the physical form and sex to maintain the species, man stays objective and unaffected by its lures. When it slips into greed and lust, man falls. Sometimes, they even pretend that they are immune to everything and perform the mischiefs in disguise. This pulls them down completely.

Many people who have tasted liberation, prefer to escape into anonymity and isolation. They do not stay at the same place more than three nights and do not eat from the same plate etc, to avoid any attachment. This truly helps. But, it is not easy. Not every one can do it.

Life is a transit from the Gross to the Subtle. Enlightenment is the result.

Q: Can you define gross?

A: Gross means gravity. Gravity only affects the gross or the dense. When the elevation in consciousness happens, lightness also happens. Gravity or pull of earth is reduced substantially. Each sheath of human substratum has various degree of subtlety. Each sheath is prone to some amount of terrestrial gravity, binding or, simply put – pull. As we shift from gross food sheath (anna maya kosha) to the mind sheath (mano maya kosha) itself, the gravitational pull is reduced in a subtle way. Then, through the shift to other sheaths, till bliss sheath, (ananda maya kosha), the transitions reduce dependency on earth. Thus, stage by stage, man attains liberation. As he transcends each sheath, his gravitational pull also gradually gets reduced. When you become the soul, there is no gravitational pull. Only the karmic baggage is prone to gravitation. From gross body to the state of our soul, through the sheaths, man transcends. This is indeed a long journey. Faith and Purity will accent the momentum and help the journey. In the journey, many obstacles will happen, triggered by Samskaaras and Vasanas (subtle impressions with emotions attached to them).

In the journey, many Masters will come as road signs to guide you to walk the right path. Many lower beings will come forward and confuse you too. You are free to choose your path, as options are available, based on your tastes, even though the final destination is the same for everyone.

Perfect Dissolution Merges us with the Infinity...No identification exists...

Q: Can you talk about Dissolution vs. Enlightenment?

A: Sure. So, enlightenment takes the awareness to the level of the soul. One who is enlightened understands the symmetry of the larger life behind his regular existence. Enlightenment does not automatically take one to dissolution. Dissolution is still an ongoing process. Dissolution is again, a sheath by sheath process. Impressions of numerous lifetimes have gotten stuck in the web of existence and our sheaths. In the place of action, impressions of thoughts, words and actions of generations lay preparing the rope for further action. Just like the external world, our internal world also has similar patterns lying deeply embedded to bring forth life to thought, word or action. True liberation happens only once deep and complete cleansing happens on various levels. Enlightenment helps this process, because the awareness is much higher at that state and it gives clarity, understanding and, essentially, objectivity from emotions. Aside from the embedded impressions from the sheaths, detachment from elements is also essential. This happens by itself. When awareness improves, elements – which are gross in nature, release its grip slowly and steadily. Remember, the lure of the terrestrial world is always waiting outside the doors of your senses. You have to constantly fight them with higher awareness and not by suppression. Suppression is not eradication. Existence without temptations -not needing any of it, even if it is available – is what helps this process.

Higher awareness is the key to detachment. When the grip of elements is less, man’s dependency on food, water, and a prescribed space for existence also gives way. He can then survive on universal energy. Ancient Masters have mastered the art of surviving without food or water and thought process. This is possible and indeed real. So, path of dissolution is long and winding. But, eventually, everyone must walk this path.

Dissolution is a process... Delusion is the hindrance

Q: Can Complete Dissolution happen in one life time?

A: Yes. But, it does not happen because emotions and attachments creep in with each new life, even if we are very careful and controlled. How could Menaka lure Vishwamitra into having a physical relationship with her? So, the path is very, very narrow and risky. It usually takes life times to eradicate all impressions, desires, and dreams to liberate the man from the need to be on earth. If the desires are earthly, he should be here. So, he keeps coming back.

The final is the debt that he must repay for using the facilities of the earth. That can be achieved only through self-less service for the mother earth and its children, which means all beings. The tool for accomplishing that is Unconditional Love. Complete liberation is a process. The deeper the silence in the Master, the deeper is His detachment. Desire to prove or talk is only on the surface, and that too, towards the shore, like waves of the ocean.

If a man talks too much, usually, he is surface-oriented, and does not have much depth. He will come back again and again till silence deepens and takes over. Silence does not mean physical silence. Silence means the silence within or lack of any mental activity. Switching over to dharmic life precedes complete liberation. He will need nothing from earth. He will give all what he has to the earth and its children. His existence will not hurt the earth. It will only soothe the earth. His walking on earth will make the trees, plants and animals of the earth rejoice. Big cleansing happens to everyone and everything, just by His sheer presence and existence.

True Gurus need nothing. They represent the Infinite Almighty.

Q: What do Masters want?

A: Nothing. They are just road signs. Their purpose is to guide you to your destination. If you chose to use the road sign or chose to ignore it and walk your path yourself, it is the same for any real master. It does not make any difference to the True Master. Only one caution. Do not confuse between an Acharya and a Guru. Acharya is only an exponent of knowledge. Guru is the manifested representation of the invisible Almighty. In our times, as technology rules our lives, we are always in web. Web means trap. This has also happened in Spirituality.

Acharyas who have only book knowledge or theoretical knowledge, pose themselves as enlightened masters and lure people for money. Have you seen any Great Master of the past, calling themselves enlightened? Take the case of Bhagawan Ramana Maharshi, Shirdi Sai Baba, Akkalkot Maharaj, Manik Prabhu, Bhagawan Nithyananda of Ganeshpuri, Sathya Sai Baba and all those truly powerful masters -they never called themselves enlightened. They never promised enlightenment to anyone, because everyone has to go through life times of cleansing to attain liberation, and they positioned themselves on earth to guide us unconditionally. Now, the tragedy is, Acharyas, or teachers who have no originality, call themselves enlightened, promise enlightenment and hang victims on pretensions. They keep articulating theoretical knowledge and pretend it to be their own experience. Their method of holding on to people is through fear and control. They contaminate minds by injecting fear and thus control their victims. These Acharyas have no originality. They imitate others. They will scan the market, identify what sells in the market, and package that in their own syllabus. They do not care about the consumer, because consumer is already helplessly bound through fear, with them. They change their stance also, according to market demand. If giving Shaktipat sells, they will start giving Shaktipat and initiate disciples into it. If Pranayaam sells, they make modules of it. If Hatha Yoga sells, they will teach it. Thus, they remain very flexible and observant. This is the tragedy of our times. Every Acharya pretends to be an enlightened Guru. Dress up accordingly, speak accordingly and mislead masses. Everything has become commerce – Spirituality too. Spirituality is Dharma. It is sacred. It is individualistic. It is not for sale.

(This does not apply to Nithyananda - despite the recent scandals, I still consider him as a real Guru Material. He has depth and spontaneity. His teachings have clarity and profoundity).

I wish all of You LIBERATION in this Life Time itself.

Stay Liberated, Operate in Unconditional Love, Be Love.

Only Love is real

LOVE YOU
